Ah I get it, you all came to ESO looking for Dark Souls.

It’s true, you caught us. The only two potential difficulties are story mode and dark souls.

I suspect story mode simply isnt the place to be looking for complex encounter mechanics.

I'm not necessarily saying that ESO necesarily presents the most difficult dungeon or trial encounters either, but I feel like if we're now expecting story quests to provide some kind of visceral level of difficulty in an MMO we're probably looking in the wrong place.

How about a level of encounters that doesn't break your immersion?
Right now I hear about insanely powerful enemies and their hordes, which end up dead when I breathe at them.

Locking myself out from questing is losing like 90% of the game.

Why does it always have to be extremes? Nobody wants Dark Souls or vet DLC trials levels of difficulty, they just want things to be difficult enough to not fall asleep while questing.

I agree with this, often times the big baddy at the end of the main quest line will die before finishing their monologue. More recently those enemies have had specific "waves" of sorts to slow them down, but they are usually still little threat. I know they cant buff them too much because some will find them too hard. Often times i just use light and heavy attacks while running around to make the fight take a little longer to actually see the enemies abilities.

This is sort of tied to the many post of folks asking for some sort of difficulty slide/de-buff or whatnot. And yes I've tried different weapons and builds and even without armor and such, it makes a difference of course but i think a de-buff food or something would just be easier for everyone.

If "cooked fish" can add 100 weapon power, why cant "rotten fish" remove 100 weapon power (for example only).

Due to there already being a thread discussing Overland Content Feedback Thread, we're going to close this one down so that all feedback can be consolidated in one place.

    Thank you for your understanding.
