I don't think we have anything which changes the drops from coffers, there's no 'luck' bonus to make rare drops more likely or anything like that so I'm not sure how you would work it out.

The actual content in coffers appears to be generated when you open them. You can see this by a) opening coffers that have cooldowns like Reward of the Worthy or the IC coffers, b) opening coffers that have gear after leveling up if you're below CP160, the level gets set when you open the coffers.

I suppose it's possible that there are two RNG rolls, one when it drops and another specifically when it's opened, but most likely the whole thing is a single roll on open.

Which daily coffers are we talking about?

From previous threads about specific motif pages that drop from specific coffers, I had gotten the impression that they have a 20-hour cooldown, but during this event I've gotten motif pages which broke that rule.

For instance, just last night I got two different Ashlander pages, both from the relics quest coffers, one page in one coffer and the other page in the other coffer.

Was that because only certain coffers have the 20-hour cooldown and the Ashlander pages don't have a cooldown?

Or was it because each coffer treated the 20-hour cooldown as though it were the only coffer that I received for completing the quest-- that is, because the second coffer's cooldown was counted as 20 hours after the previous day's quest had been turned in, not 20 hours after the previous coffer had been opened, which was mere moments earlier?

Good question. I never know when to quit opening Leyawiin coffers because you can get a motif and/or a furnishing plan. To be safe as soon as I get either I stop opening.

I am guessing the event coffers are exempt from any cooldowns. It has to be assumed that a player will get multiple ones per day versus the daily coffers which are only one per day.

Certainly rewards of the worthy, IC quest reward coffers, gladiator sacks and coffers from daily quests are generated at the point of opening.

Best examples is the IC coffers - these give you 200 telvar and 1 proof (can't think what it's actually called off the top of my head) that can go towards such things as the Timbercrow outfit. You can get 1 proof per day. However, stockpile the coffers and open them daily (at least 20 hours apart) and you will get a proof each day. Open them less than 20 hours apart and you won't get a 2nd proof. Also during events that give double Telvar they are worth 400 Telvar when opened but if you open them outside the event you only get the normal 200.

I've also done it with coffers where there was a motif with a cool down on, have done lots of dailies, stopped opening when I get a motif and then started again next day after cooldown. Have then had a motif from the next coffer the next day. Once I have all the motifs and stop doing this I don't get multiple motifs.

Event coffers are different, they are calling from a different loot table and have no cooldown other than in events such as the current one you can only have one golden coffer a day

I wonder about leads as well, those leads in fargrave are horrendus to come across so im saving my coffers till i get 20 of them.
