Account Wide Achievements - Add a Prestige System

Simply put, have an indicator/number that shows if you have completed the achievement on multiple characters, and give players a further reason to complete the content on multiple characters.

This sounds like a good idea and something of a compromise

Zenimax, we don't all want account wide achievements, please make some sort of compromise or make it optional.

How am I supposed to check whether an alt has finished a quest line and how far they have got if all the achievements and titles are carried over from my main?

I like this idea. It seems like a healthy compromise between account wide achievements and those that want to be able to complete achievements on each character. I for one would prefer to still have a system where each of my characters could individually complete achievements themselves, and if this were added, I feel it would keep both parties happy.

I hope this idea gets more support!

This is pretty much how I've always dreamed of it. Account wide achievements with counters, so it can be meaningful still for those who want to keep achievements separate, but allow to show you skills on any character.

Only one thing I would add to this - there should be a clear indicator on the linked achievements whether the currently logged in character has done it or not.

This ^ Having cleared something on a character that's a dps, is a different experience than having it cleared on a tank or a healer, so it'd be nice if there was an indication whether the achievement was originally gained on that character. Useful too for alt-o-holics, who want to keep track which character has done what.

I at least hope new characters would have at the very least just pop ups about getting already done account wide achievements. I'd be really disappointed not seeing something like flawless popping again.
