What's the dmg difference on a mag class using dw v staff - light attacks only..roughly?

not a simple question to answer, to many variables to take into account, sets, buff's, CP boost, mundus stone, weapon/staff trait, enchants to name but a few of the basic passive and active multipliers applied to damage

All light attacks regardless of weapon are single target dealing direct damage. So those two would buff light attack damage as well as the CP star that boosted light attacks directly. I'd also look into Imbue Weapon as it's an ability directly tied to light attacking. Light attacks generally out DPS heavy attacks unless someone goes for a heavy attack build.

the main reason a mag user would use DW over a staff is the bonus crit chance from using 2 daggers, but this primarly only works on templars so you can still get your light attack weaves in (staff allows ranged weaving)

so for magplar you might see a slight dmg increase due to the extra crit chance, but for most mag classes that are not going to be melee range, staff is probably still better

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

Double charged daggers on a ZenDK are also a must. Full damage DK would go nirnhoned main and charged offhand for slightly more damage.

true, i guess magDK is also considered melee for the most part lol
