Why all the houses are not available all the time?

I wish there was a way to buy a house I want without waiting for it reappear again :(
I hope we will see Stone Eagle Earie soon ;)
What do you think is the reason that ZoS is not allowing to buy houses for crowns ? They ever said anything about it?

    FOMO

Fear of missing out. They use this desire in people to drive sales. If it were available all the time, you'd say, "I'll get it later." With the FOMO method, you don't have time to say that. You impulse buy that house now. You might not even want that one the most but you have no idea when your preferred house is coming so you buy that one for now. Next month when another house comes that you want, you now have to buy crowns and get the house. Win/win for ZOS.

It is friendly toward players? Nope, but that's marketing for you.

Just like redspecter23 stated, its a marketing/sales gimmick, kinda like when grocery stores placing items they want you to buy, at eye level. More people are likely to buy things at eye level then looking down at the bottom shelf. Housing furniture limit is same, fill up a house and now you have to buy another....at least that's the on going theory. I willing to bet ZOS's marking director has a commercial retail background ;)

    Cheers
Everyone is going in one direction, I'm going the other direction

The problem with this gimmick is when it does roll around to being on sale again, I've usually lost interest by then. I can't always buy on a whim due to budget and bills, but if things were available more frequently or all the time, then when I could afford it, I'd probably buy it. These scarcity tactics are great at allowing me to refrain from buying in the long run.

Sadly, ZOS is willing to make that sacrifice as they know that's not the way everyone thinks. They've done the research and know how to make the money. If some players are unhappy or end up buying less, that is all calculated into the formula.

The "Disney Vault" ploy of milking consumers to the last penny is here to stay, I'd guess, but I do wish they'd keep the limited time houses available for longer. Twice, now, I've been waiting for a house to come back for over a year, only to discover it went back on sale and then disappeared again while I was on holiday or just didn't happen to play ESO for a bit.

Also for new players... I joined ESO in August of last year, and I'd be throwing money at the Crown Store to buy Tel Galen & all the Morrowind content I could get because I'm an unashamed Telvanni stan.

Instead, I'm sitting on my crowns & waiting till they decided to make things available again.

At the very least, they could increase the number of 'exclusive' houses/content available at one time, or speed up the rotation...

They do seem to have improved by having more available and more often lately. Before that some of the houses hadn’t been around for years.
