Looking for Stamina Necromancer input

I haven't read much about stamcros recently. Frankly I'm not sure I've seen any, at least in Cyro.

So although I'm not even sure there is a meta build for them, I guess I'm looking for off-meta setups?
My main problem is I really can't get used to Dizzy Swing in this lag, so I'm looking for alternatives. Silver Shards seems like an interesting option (especially against all those Vampires running around), but I'm unsure which sets would go well with such a playstyle. E.g., does SS count as an AoE attack and is therefore buffed by Dagon's Dominion and AoE CP?

Going so much for direct damage seems counter intuitive for Necromancers, though. Is there a way to make best use of their DoT damage passive? I've been thinking about a Bleed build, but lack the necessary gear to give this a test run, and it seems a bit too eccentric. Especially because PvP is all about burst.

Guess I'm just looking for any ideas for Stamcros this patch.

I've run my stamcro in cyro a cpl of times over the last week or so. He's still good, tanky as hell with really good passive healing. My main issue with him is the amount of buff maintenance I seem to do in comparison to others. Sometimes i just want to hit someone...

But then, yeah. You come up against the D-swing issue. It depends alot when you're on ofc but even mid afternoon yesterday it was hopeless. Was trying to sort out my warden but if he actually tried to hit anybody with d-swing - even in the middle of nowhere - he just locked in animation for a cpl of seconds and sort of... dragged his sword along the ground.

I'm honestly moving towards only playing toons who have decent instacast spammables now in cyro - they may not go off, but they won't lock in animation for 2 secs - and having a back up aoe spammable set up for really high lag. The necro's still useful but I figure Ill keep him for more organised stuff as a semi tank.

If you have to play necro, I'd guess your options for spammables are skulls, carve, silver shards. I personally find skulls horrible but ymmv. I think shards is actually much better than people give it credit for, it's just as a ranged spammable the travel time sucks. Up close, it's prob better and the 78%(?) 5 meter AOE is actually a really strong bonus. I've seen some builds running dagons+ titantic cleave + careve as a spammable; I'm wondering if that has mileage but need to farm dagon's first.

Anyway, I can't test SS question unfortunately but I'm pretty sure that while dagons might affect might the secondary bit of its damage, it won't affect the single target component. Someone else may be able to check tho.

As to a dot build, it is more of a pressure meta now not a burst meta so maybe. And necro's have that nice 15% passive. But um, yeah, they don't actually have alot of dots. I think there's siphon and.... Umm? I haven't tried but I'd have thought more of a poison / disease set up than a bleed one for a necro tho?

If I were doing it, I'd prob go for a more bow oriented build - you've got poison arrow, arrow spray there + lethal puts a poison status effect, maybe add a proc set - plaguebreak seems v popular at moment - and maybe buff all that with swamp raider or something? It's pretty strong on poision/ disease dots, and wd also buff venom skull, blastbones ofc. Blackrose bow wd add a dot to magnum shot, whilse caustic arrow wd give you 350(?) extra dmg... No idea how that wd play though. Be interesting to try tho!

DSA dual wield is an option. Rending slashes with the buff does respectable damage even as a spammable, esp if you opt for 2 elemental damage enchants - though I prefer double DoT poison. The DoT further benefits from necro passives (as does the poison).
This does create another hole in a build tho, lack of CC. The FG fear is awful (I've tried), misses anyone with any sort of movement buff and eats a bar slot... Either make do with dawnbreaker only (not too bad if using the corpse eat skill, which also triggers the ult gen passive, will be up often) or use Zoal (underrated set imo).

Build wise, if you feel comfortable in medium armor: Blooddrinker body, vDSA DW front, vMA 2H backbar, Zoal. Fill in with trainee + mythic of choice. DoT em up from both bars, blastbones->rending->dawny into spin to win for burst. Catches people off guard often as 3/4 are undodgeable, and the DoTs tick VERY hard.

Blooddrinker + Master Weapon, either DW or 2h (or both) was what I had in mind as well. Possibly with another Bleed proc set like Unleashed or Maelstrom 2h. But I'll have to farm DSA first to see if that shakes out.

Honestly I didn't even consider skulls yet, but I might as well give it a try. A Poison/Disease build with Swamp Raider sounds kind of appealing, although I didn't see myself making a bow build. It's worth considering, at least.

Outside of bows, there really aren't that many DoTs available to make use of the passive. Rending Slashes, the DW ulti, the Carve bleed, and Soul Trap seem the obvious ones, althought I'm unsure if that's enough to build pressure.

CC might be an issue for melee build, although I have to confess I kind of liked the idea of a Fighters Guild heavy build with Shards, DB, Turn Evil and Camo Hunter. Technically 1h+s backbar with Reverb Bash is also an option if it becomes an issue, though.

Edit: By the way, Silver Shards is apparently not buffed by the Biting Aura CP (at least not the first hit), so I assume Dagon's Dominion won't affect it, either.

you could do plaguebreak + unleashed for DoT (i havent tried in practice but they have a lot of items that mesh well)

plaguebreak applies a DoT which blows up if user tries to purge your DoT or they die with the dot, the dot also has effectively no cooldown so can be applied to 1 target per attack (good if your using silver shards or carve to apply to more targets)

unleashed would be good in 2 ways, 1 is that it would be auto applied if you used the bone armor that pulled in a ranged target (so they would be in melee AND also have a dot on them), and unleashed dot also reapplies the hemorrhaging status effect on each tick (additional minor DoT + minor mangle (-10% max hp)), the cooldown on this proc is also per target

adding carve would add another DoT (you could also get more dot as well using bow back bar, suggest a blackrose bow)

on a note to your edit, i think silver shards is actually counted as single target dmg for the primary target (in your animation you shoot out an arrow at each target in range), the primary target is probably counted as single target but im not sure if it would also count other target in range as single target or aoe for how this skill functions

i also really dont like using skills with cast times because of the lag, snipe is OK because its long range but ive always had issues using stuff like dizzying swing (but it never feels like other people have problem with it when im fighting lol)
