Post your pvp pet peeves. The things that really annoy you and make you want to reach through your monitor and choke someone.

Can we as a pvp community please stop crying ZERG!!!111 after we lose team fights. A 3v3 or a 4v4 or even a 10v10 that your team loses is not you getting zerged. You just lost and the other team was better. So often the last man standing will send me hate whispers claiming I zerged them after the rest of their team wiped. What are we supposed to do? Stop trying to kill your team the second one of you dies? Don't want to outnumber you after all. Just respawn and try again, your excuses are only good for salt compilations. Only people allowed to make the zerg excuse is legit solo players and that is not you.

I am with you though, I hate ap boosting so much. If it were my game I would hire 1 mod per campaign and have them watch the guys who are at 4mil ap on day one of a campaign. Would be a permanent ban for anyone caught. When I got Emperor it was because I was laid off work due to covid. I played literally everyday for 18 hours from the start of the campaign up until the last day. I just barely managed to pass the booster in first place and take all the emp keeps with a small band of randoms. Final battle the best AD nb showed up to stop me and I actually managed to beat him on the flag to secure my throne. Ap boosters are scum for skipping the hard work and getting their empty titles.

Ravenwatch is often low pop on Xbox but you can get 3 way fights with guild after emp etc.

It as you say day 1 or 2 you get a booster in and they hit 4 mill night one. It kills the campaign energy totally.

Plus many of them self justify it.

Not seen much ZOS action of late, now and then when it's apparent with evidence some action has been taken in the past. But ..

Jumpers/tower humpers. These "elite" players who take rss and then jump around taunting people to come fight them. When you do they run straight for the tower to los you into boredom. Or if they are a necro they are going to build ult up then turn around and dark convergence/tombstone synergy/ult hulk smash you to death.

I really wish they would make a BG for these players. You can volunteer to be tower runner and the other 4 people chase you around for 20 minutes.

And I don't. If you are jumping around like an idiot and run into a tower as soon as I come to fight you I just leave. Not happening. The annoying part about these people is they change the way the game is meant to be played. Resources are not there for your amusement or to bait casuals into their deaths. These types (and we all know who they are) don't take rss to help their faction or in a strategic manner, we all know these players don't care even a single bit about the campaign or helping their side. You can say all you want "they provide a distraction"...that is a side effect, not their intent. And I run to the rss for a straight up fight to defend it, instead I get this jumping troll(s) who just wants to troll me around a tower until he can turn around and one-shot me with his ult. Hard pass.

So when I rush to an rss that is being taken only to find the same old trolls jumping around there it is a letdown there. But there are about 10 other alliance mates willing to chase them around for 10 minutes so I don't have to.

It is almost as if they are choosing to play the way they want in order to have fun. That may not fit into your vision of fun, but that is not what is important tbh....some people pvp for the player versus player aspect, not the score board....is what it is, I would not let somebody else's play style get me tilted..you do you, let them do them....

Ah these two posts go hand in hand. Emperor you must become the person who evicts the tower humpers. No need to chase them, just wait at the top of the tower with ult ready and a fire ballista and they melt very fast. They can run laps around the tower literally all day until a powerful ganker shows up and evicts them. This is largely what my role in tank meta has become. They want to build so tanky that I cannot reliably gank them solo, then I will just stalk them until they try 1vXing and I nuke them. Already got one guy to pay me to stop interrupting his 1vX sprees. They will hate you at first, but eventually they will learn to respect you.

This man is not exaggerating, they will legit send you entire paragraphs. I got a theory that hate whispering is on a bell curve. The worst and best players will send the most hate and the players in the middle mostly just press respawn or actually send some love instead.

If any of you reading are guilty of sending hate whispers to a lil ole ganker, try sending some love instead next time. I generally completely stop killing someone if they say something nice.

Lag for sure would be my worst pet peeve. I play on PS4 NA and any huge fight at a keep usually ends up with a bluescreen, and my PS4 is hardwired to my modem/router so idk what else I can do. Secondly, the 3 faction system needs to go. I read a few comments on here that players would like a 2 faction system and I think that would be interesting because it could possibly prevent the whole 2 factions vs 1 faction that happens quite a bit

There would be a lot to point out (unbalanced classes, ball groups, broken proc sets etc). Initially, I was thinking that primary issue with PvP is lag, and yes, it is a huge issue, but I think that the biggest issue with Cyro PvP is... that it is pointless to play for objectives.

I mean, if you think what the initial goal of 3-banner war was and treat it basically as a long mach that lasts for 1 month, then you probably know what I mean. Right now, Cyro feels more like a PvP sandbox, rather than 3vs3 team Death mach combined with Capture the flag.

People don't play for objectives, because it is pointless. There are so many game breaking design "gaps" that make it pointless to play for objectives, because score boards can be easily exploited. This leads for majority of players to simply not care about scoreboards and who wins or not - because it is meaningless.

If something like this was happening in any other PvP game, then it would fixed ASAP. I understand that ESO PvP has way more serious problems (like um... "working" for example lol) but if we ignore all of the technical issues - then it is the core game rules themselves that needs to be adressed at some point.

The only pet peeve I have in this game's pvp is people trying to crap on other people's way of enjoying the game. Lots of players have this idea of "my way or the highway" and if you don't play the game the exact way they think you should play the game, then you're wrong.

I typically play pvp solo about 95% of the time in cyrodiil, and I'll do things like go and flag an enemy's back keeps with the intent of pulling people to the keep to fight and push me off (because that's the quickest way to get a fight without waiting for the other alliances to push) and my own faction insult me saying "which idiots are flagging [x] keep when we need help here"
Sorry but the 1 solo player can't do much against a 20,30,40 man zerg roaming the map, let's be realistic.

imo, ball groups, zerg players, solos, small scale players, duelers, full cheese proc users, even players who are just farming like myself are all valid ways to play the game. Don't crap on people for not playing the game how you want them to.

If anything, don't hate the players for playing the game, maybe criticize the game instead for not taking measures against that play style.

I like to sit at the top, wait for them to run up and jump to the 2nd floor as they try to los and use a knockback as they jump, then let gravity do the rest.

there is just no incentive to play the map, the rewards are bad, the result has been the same for years, if you happen to be on the most populated faction there is no challenge. Siege warfare isn't ideal pvp for some players. Taking a resource is just one of the quicker ways to get a fight otherwise people never drop from the safety of keep walls even if they see you.

My pet peeve is delusionals. I get chased by 20 men across Cryodill for about 20 minutes getting absolutely battered from all angles without any stopping. Complete and utter relentless. When they do eventually give up. I get spammed with hate mail saying "stop running" "Rock hugger" "Why are you running".... As if im going to stand still and LET them attack me. I'm not even instigating them anymore. Ive crushed and 1vXd them that many times over the years they want vengeance. They Still have the sheer delusional audacity to say all those things they do. Ive been reported for hacking and everything by just simply surviving. Oh and people who line of site 1v1, use defensive ults 1v1 or sit and be defensive 24/7 in a 1v1. But perhaps the most annoying peeve is when players gladly zerg you and attack you when they outnumber you but are absolutely terrified of attacking when there alone. Like its a game and you are in PvP just fight me. If you die just respawn.

So I’m not gonna complain about getting zerged down even though it’s annoying. I solo a lot but I also run alongside groups sometimes cuz, hey, I want ap too, and I totally Zerg down anyone and everyone who 1) isn’t CLEARLY dueling or 2) is my friend and/or someone I respect as a player.

But sometimes you do want a 1v1. And you can’t communicate with them… so, if you’re like me on Xbox NA ravenwatch, you jump up and down a few times. Hold block. Bash the air. Light attack once maybe. And then basically when you see them start buffing up you know you’ve got a duel.

I’ve had a lot of people seem to be cooperating, or even seem to be initiating a duel, and when I run over there and start fighting a nb or two comes out of stealth and spanks me. So… that’s my pet peeve.

Not to be confused with a duel getting interrupted. That’s annoying but understandable. Even funny, really, because in my experience the duelers are normally better than the other and about 92% of the time the duelist stops attacking until the outnumbered guy can CRUSH the interrupter. Then you resume. Hilarious. Equally hilarious to watch your own ally get wrecked, hate to say it.

When a solo or small group taunts you and your group, runs to a rock, tree, building, etc, expecting most of your group to disengage so they can pick off the stragglers only to call "zerg" or "ball group" when it doesn't go their way and die. Those are the risks when you decide to engage with other groups and you are already have the disadvantage.

Another pet peeve I have is in BGs when players demand you stay grouped against a stacked teams with healers and your team does not have one. There are some instances like that where a change in tactics is needed. I'm sorry but I'm not going to sit there and brawl it out while the entirety of our team gets steam rolled again and again.

For real I just can't understand why they feel the need to try and make excuses for their death. THEY KNOW what they are getting into by taking on a whole group by themselves. The fault is 100% on them for making that decision and I don't give a s'wit about their excuses. Why do I need to hear your excuses? We all get frustrated when gaming and say things out loud, but why do you have to whisper that gamer rage to your killer.

Yeah I am playing a glass cannon and I cannot survive jumping into the mosh pit in a bg. What I can do however is memorize the names of all the squishies and camp their spawn while all the tanks endlessly battle. They may think they know what is best for me, but I know I can get a much better k/d spawn camping. On top of keeping my deaths low and my kills high by spawn killing I am taking more players away from the enemy teams, then we are losing from me going off and doing my own thing. They talk trash all game until the end when they see I have 10x their kills and 0 deaths because all they did all game was slap an unkillable tank. Don't listen to those people man. They just want to blame anyone other then themselves for their poor performance.
