It might make for some fun if we could buy traps and then catch our own pet. I wouldn't mind spending time on an activity in order to tame some exotic animal. Event tickets for traps?

My brain was on combat pets, and I had it in my head you were referring to something like pokemon. Then I realized non-combat pets exist in ESO too. XD

If you haven't seen it already, there's a fun little side quest in Blackwood that ends up with you adopting a bog dog (default nickname Boggo).

I would be all for more quests or little out of the way hidden things that reward you a unique pet.

You know, I enjoyed it as well. It was a nice aside; something you could do to break up the day-to-day.

The hunt for new pet types, and better breeds/rarity was surprisingly fun as well. Man, there was a lot of variety.

(Now I'm missing that system..)

TBH, I don't think they'd ever do that here, mostly because it would be 1) too much work to code the system and then add all the critters to the world and 2) Acti-Blizz might have something to say about a direct rip from what they have..which would be rich because they were "inspired" by Pokemon.

I was so excited when the Warden class came out because nature pet classes are my favorite in MMOs, especially ones that can tame in-game creatures. Sadly, the Warden class missed the mark big time, but Wardens are still my favorite ESO class, and I have a Warden tank, healer, stam and mag dps. I just wish we could tame creatures, even if only to change how our Ultimate appears (still wishing for a wolf instead of a bear). I'd welcome a system of taming and collecting in game creatures as pets.

I so much miss the SWG pet system and genetic engineering rare and super strong pets.

Makes more sense for a class from Vvardenfell than a bear - which doesn’t exist anywhere on that island as far as I know.

Oh, please no. GW2 had this for a very brief while when we learned "How to Train <Our> Dragon" and, honestly, it was the silliest thing I ever did in an MMO, even though it was in an isolated solo instance.

i need a guar
