[snip] They take a resource, then when you show up to defend it they don't stand and fight, they run straight into the tower and make you chase them around for 5 minutes, using line of sight to keep you from being able to hit them. The more they can get to chase them the happier they are. I personally don't do it, but many of you do. This is why these people still continue to do this.
Please stop chasing them. Just take the rss back and move on. They eventually will too after they get bored because no one will chase them. Resources were never designed to be a troll playground, stop chasing trolls and they will get bored. Thank you.

BTW, I generally don't chase them, I let others do that while I stand in one spot and wait for them to run around the corner into my trap.
I love doing that to, although it can be a challenge surviving any bursts sent at ya. I've only managed to do it once but I managed to land Stupefy on the entire enemy group. My allies ult dumped them and managed to end the fight in a spectacularly short amount of time.
Only time that ability has been useful in PvP for me

Naa, if someone is well aware that these players train to be pros at this, build for it and still want to chase them around, go for it. Me, I am more like 80/20 on chasing them. 80% of the time I have better things to do, 20% of the time I will go kill them because there is nothing else going on, so why not. Plus it is kind of fun killing someone at the thing they actually practice doing, sorta like locking down/revealing a bomber on his way to the flag. Way too many complaints about others play style lately.
If your not equipped to deal with them move on.
The resource tower is there for someone to use to play a mini-game of let's see how many people I can troll into chasing me? Pretty sure that is not what the devs had in mind.

Devs intended PvP not just PvDoor and I can't think of anything more PvP than challenging other players to come in and actually fight to take take their tower back. They should actually move the flag inside the tower just like a keep. But that is just me.
It feels like people actually wanting PvP would stand and fight after attracting attention to a resource, rather than play Ring Around the Tower and bait people into chasing them. If you want an actual fight but keep running away from the people trying to fight you...doesn't sound too logical. From what I can tell the OP isn't about attracting fights to a resource, it's about people who specifically run around or up towers and avoid actually fighting. As someone who has done this before, it’s because the population in Cyrodiil is too low and it’s also filled with people who don’t actually like PvP.
Cyrodiil isn’t populated enough to just run into an enemy by chance. At this point you have to take an objective so that you can increase your chances of fighting an enemy. Resources are the easiest pick because small groups (below 5) generally don’t siege for a variety of reasons. Having the resource flag on the map will sometimes attract a Zerg to the location. Of course this doesn’t always work, and when it does, the Zerg will often just take the resource and avoid the fight all together. The players you see are actual PvPers who probably just want to fight others. Despite all the effort they put in, they will still go the majority of the night without finding the fight they were looking for.
I wouldn’t worry too much. Most of these types of players have already quit and I’m sure that the few who are left will give up soon enough.
