solo vs group queue

I've returned to BGs after a while and noticed a huge difference between solo and group queues.

In solo mode I seem to be playing against pro PvPers and quite frankly I truly struggle. I've seen players generating a huge amount of damage (>5M) and play well fair and square!

I ended up by mistake in the group queue and noticed that the level felt a lot more like easy mode even if the groups I've been in have been not particularly well organized....returning to solo mode lead me to re-join a slaughter fest!!

Is it just my perception or solo mode tends to attract the most skilled PvPers?

hi there @Rhaegar75 , any chance you recall exactly how many BG's (queue'ing grouped vs. un-grouped ) you did? As in, it would be helpful to know your 'sample size' for comparison's sake , to better determine whether or not there is indeed a huge difference.

Then others (like me) can try testing the same amount and post comparitive results.

Would also be nice to know some of @ZOS_ internal metrics every now & then on these types of things (like SWG used to do once a month on fridays) but i digress... :/

Iv done pugged bgs, they are actually not that bad as long as you communicate with your group even if there on like divines or something if they have a flying pest that can heal you, youd probably just got yourself 2 healers. Trust me iv been on there leaderboards without even trying, all pugged, its just communication is the key & thats the only actual problem.

Yes. I think that because the ques pop much more quickly for solo modes, vet players have been choosing that option more frequently since the new changes. I know that a lot of players are more comfortable and have more fun in queuing with friends or guildies, so often you'll get more groups consisting of more varying skill. Going against groups also doesn't mean that you're playing against a coordinated team necessarily as people will que as a duo or trio, etc. In my experience however, going up against pre-mades is still quite challenging and depending on the time of day there are quite a few out there.

Good question: I'd say probably about 30 BGs with 2 different characters in the last 7 to 10 days.....and the same trend.

Solo: I seem to end up against some extremely good players...I wish to blame my demise on cheating or cheesy sets but they are simply better PvPers. If I play very well I have a 1:1 KD ratio.

Group: much higher KD ratio (2.5:1) even if I end up in a crap group...most of the time I end up fighting average players
