Why don't Goblins count as Humanoids?

I know they are considered a Barbaric Foe because they counted in yesterday's Endeavor, but they are also Humanoid in appearance and should count toward killing so many Humanoids, too.

The game seems to hard classify monsters as being exactly one type of thing.
Technically most undead are also 'humanoid' but ... they're classed as undead.
Decisions were made, and somehow 'humanoid' ended up meaning 'something that looks like a player race' instead of the literal meaning.

I think every enemy only has one type.
It would make sense that they have several but I get that they want you to go after specific enemy types for these endeavors.

Yeah I think each enemy has only 1 type.
I suspect 'humanoid' effectively means they're one of the playable races.
