does the 'more communication' tweet from Gina feel like a kick in the teeth to anyone else?

pvp and its community have been ignored and neglected for so long that 'more communication' isnt really going to do anything without actions to back it up.

the event is just around the corner and magically the servers are going to be better for 2 weeks, yet for the rest of the year its getting harder to walk (the slow bug while it is hilarious really needs a fix) we have been promised a performance fix for so long its become a meme.

I wouldn't be against taking pvp down for a while for them to fix it. if performance and communication aren't going to get better i think pvp might be coming to an end pretty soon.
its becoming impossible to play solo as much as its becoming impossible to small scale. if you're not in a zerg the lag snatches fights from you!!

i wish zos would update imperial city, give it a new lease of life, it has the potential to be a great pvp zone but there is 0 incentive to go there.

give us a 'new' map (keep the keeps the same but change terrain) with every chapter after so many years the look of cyrodiil is starting to become stale.

why is there housing rewards in pvp? the majority dont even own the free basic homes which makes it look like zos doesn't know its pvp player base.... could that be because they don't communicate with us?

there are so many small things that could be done to make pvpers happy. small things like not ignoring us for 3 months when we tell them that there's a bug that needs fixing...
having a stream team full of housing and quest enthusiasts with 1 or 2 pvpers isnt really a great thing, it shows we are an after thought. basically saying pvp doesn't make them money when pvpers are more likely to buy skill lines, mount upgrades and cosmetic items.

there is a reason that pvpers in general seem angry, peed off and frustrated.... BECAUSE WE ARE! adding a broken siege with 1 update and broken sets like dark convergence is not a pvp update zos!!

In short... Yes. They're genuinely don't understand how it's lacking it seems and one official message in 3-4 months or an unofficial chatter on twitch is enough already.

I wouldnt mind if they shut down the servers for a month. Everything for a working game at this point...

Suggestion: I think you'd get a lot less confrontational answers and stuff that might be more helpful to Gina if we posted her questions to the forum in a thread and let us answer sensibly.

(One of my biggest issues with ZOS' approach to multiple channels of communication is they don't cross over very well. I'm not on Twitter, so even though I'm active on the forums, I don't get to contribute to the discussion on communication in the same way.)

You have every right to be skeptical. Time and time again, they have shown that what they say, its just words with no meaning because no action is ever taken

Still waiting on the "performance improvements" from 2 years ago, even after we put up with 6 months of testing that resulted in negative improvements being made. Also waiting on the server upgrades from last year, which of course they are apparently still waiting on a year+ later due to supply chain issues. (Did someone forget to put the order in maybe?)

Anyhow, it is pretty ridiculous in general and the silence is deafening.

For anyone interested, Gina kicked off her Twitter conversation with:

    "Let’s talk about communication.

I always see people saying they want better communication from dev teams, but what does that really mean to you?

How do you define communication? What types of things are you typically looking for? Where are you looking for it?"

How I see it is she did it on twitter which not alot of people go on same as the forums, they could do an official stream, have stream team members compile questions same thing goes for youtubers and other streamers, email is also another options, the pvp team could start a thread and ask for input, they could do a number of things but they won't. Her tweet doesn't mean anything unless they actively try to involve the community. Therealgodzilla has been trying to set up a meeting with gina or someone else to which he has been constantly denied which not only speaks volumes for how much we are an after thought but it shows that communication with the pvp community is just neglected

I primarily (almost exclusively) engage on the forums and the official website. So when information is spread out over multiple platforms and not shared between them - like when announcements are made over Twitter and it takes hours for the news to hit the forums - its frustrating. I realize there are elements of viewership, like the website gets a ton more views than the forums, but I wish there was more effort to share info across platforms and media. Twitter to the Forums is pretty easy. Transcripts for video formats and panels would make information from ESO Live, etc. more accessible for players who don't watch the videos and make it easier to find that information for later.

Transcripts aren't a true accessibility thing for me (though they might be for others). I just vastly prefer reading text and having the text for future reference instead of having to watch videos. Also, videos aren't searchable, you know? Players who've provided transcripts for panels and small parts of ESO Live are amazing! Truth be told, if the information is only in a video, I probably never see it.

Example that I thought ZOS did well: I miss the old AUA transcripts that ZOS used to put out, like this one: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/1677204/#Comment_1677204

Examples of Player Transcripts/Writeups that I appreciated:
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/261597/pax-dark-brotherhood-round-table-transcript/p1
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/465498/eso-zos-q-a-information-london-elsweyr-press-event-info/p1

Suggestion: Can we get more official transcripts?

I am actually over the "communications" thing and waiting on the "delivery" thing. Until they manage to deliver on any of the items they have previously communicated, there really isn't much further conversation to be had.

I'm a little more mixed on communication about major ongoing issues like Cyrodiil performance.

If performance is a long, bleeding cut of player dissatisfaction, then communication without fixes is like applying a bandaid. It's wholly inadequate to stem the flow. But is that better or worse than saying nothing at all?

So on the one hand, I'm hungry for acknowledgement that Cyrodiil has major ongoing issues. I expect unstafiying updates saying it's an intractable problem taking a long time to fix. It's something I'm passionate about, and lack of acknowledgement leaves me feeling certain that they aren't making any progress - it's easier to assume the worst when I hear nothing at all.

On the other hand, I hope ZOS understands why I'm not going to get too excited about anything they tell me about Cyrodiil until we see actual, tangible progress fixing those issues on the gameplay side of things. I'll believe it when I see it.

A simple dev roadmap, that many (most?) other games have implemented at this point would be perfect for me. If I could see any sort of progress at all, that would be something. But as we don't have one and there is no communication except the yearly producers letter that never gets delivered on... I also just assume that it was just words and nothing is being done.
