In the past I have not been one to change out builds much. Once I got one that worked, I stuck with it ... potentially for years. Example, for one character, I recently discovered I had rings that I had gotten from before Summerset enabled ring crafting. That Character desperately needed a rework. With the armory system, I can now try new builds and still keep the old tried and true build easily recoverable, and now that I have gotten used to that idea, I find myself wanting to make new builds for my different characters.
I have also started to expand out from my normal DPS builds to making a healer and am in the early stages of building a tank. Now, I am thinking about trying to make a Tank, DPS, and healer build for each of my characters.
Right now, (while not all of them are completed builds) I have one character for each basic class. At the rate I go, it might be a few months per build, but in a way I am looking forward to the journey because I have also recently discovered (in large measure because of the Armory System) how little I actually know about the mechanics of a game that I have been playing for 5 years now (I started in August of 2016).
My ultimate goal is to see just how many things I can solo and I have painfully discovered that I need to know the game better than I currently do if I am going to achieve anything close to my goal.
Overall, I think I am going to love the armory system. I might even purchase new armor slots for all my characters. I don't know how many and over how long of a period of time. What I am currently thinking is the following
1. Solo build slot
2. DPS build slot
3. Healer build slot
4. Tank build slot
5. PVP build slot
6. Testing Slot
What are your thoughts on the armory?
Do you like it? Why or why not?
If you currently have more than 6 characters do you see yourself trying to combine some of your characters using the Armory system?
Has the Armory system gotten you thinking about working with builds more?

It's an improvement and a good addition to the game. But the armory station needs to store your saved gear and mundus stones. Until it does those two things, it won't be living up to its potential.

From what I have heard it sounds like a good idea that the system does not store our mundus. It seems there have been multiple exploits concerning the mundus and I think all of us would like to avoid hacks.
