This is an elder scrolls game, we don't need more races than the 9 playable.

We don't need new classes until the current classes are updated, especially ones that are undertuned in comparison.

New skill lines are a good option for allowing more build diversity.

There are 10, since we can play as Imperials if we have whatever we have to have (the Imperial City DLC? the Collector's Edition of same?) in order to gain access to the Imperial race.

No lag. No desyncs. No inability to bar swap. Less clunky combat system. Some account wide unlockables (armory slots for instance). No crown crates. Fairer pricing in the store.

It could really make a beautiful story arc - the QoL arc.

I would be happy if the existing classes would get extended. Always wanted to play a stam (nightblade) hunter with a wolf companion who also supports me during fights.

I put down new class, but I would love it if they created a “stealth” skill tree.

I'd like all those things sure.

But more than those, I want the backlog of bugs addressed, some more work on performance, and ongoing balancing.

Not another class, not another race. I really don't want another character, I already have too many thanks to One Tamriel. I really looked forward to the Necromancer, but mine is so useless and doesn't seem to have anything that really sets it apart.

A new skill line coming from a new weapon. Or perhaps a couple of new weapons. Most of the weapons are stamina-orientated, but everyone complains about stamina not being as good as Magicka. Mostly I play Magicka, and all we have is a staff so I tend to use Class skills. I really battle with endeavours that want me to use weapon skills.

Mostly what I would dearly love is new weapon skill lines that break the meta. That allow people to diversify builds more and shut down the attitude that if you aren't running these sets and those skills, then you're useless.

At this point they could literally pass on a New Chapter this year and I would be happy...looking at what's going on outside and I'm amazed we are getting anything at all.

I would say new skill lines, new classes should take a back seat. There are a lot of things they could do with new skill lines alone. I saw a mob cast a flame tornado I mean why can't we have a fire devoted skill line for instance that does that?

Well, you weren't exactly wrong, since the Imperial race isn't available to all players, just the ones who originally bought the Imperial Edition of the game, or bought the Digital Imperial Edition Upgrade in the Crown Store. So technically, you could say that the base game has only 9 playable races. :)

I would be very happy if they just made the cp green tree make sense, with the right skills designated as passive and active. The way it is now seems almost opposite of what it should be. For example, once we’ve learned to harvest faster, we should always have that ability passively, while we should get to actively choose if we want to ride our horse faster or go more slowly to keep pace with other people who don’t have points in that skill.

Oh, and I would love a martial arts type skill/weapon line, maybe with hand to hand type skills or fighting staff skills, and alternate animations for the bow skill line that uses the hand held bow, maybe one in each hand. No change to the skill line itself, just handheld crossbows that we could get in place of the standard bow.

I guess it depends on what it is.

    My biggest wish: spears.

We haven't been able to play with spears in an Elder Scrolls game since Morrowind, and I feel that they'd be a lot of fun. A lot of the animations are already there (jabs from Templars) and they could even have fun by making mag morphs for some of the skills to make it like a quarterstaff. I'd be interested to see that.

And as painful as it would be to refarm 103+ motifs to get the spear page, it'd be awesome to see what they'd look like in each of the styles. Pyandonean tridents, House Hexos pikes, Moongrave Fane glaives, Tsaesci naginatas... lots of possibilites. Course they could just set up spears to unlock with the 'staff' style page, but still... that's all probably the reason we won't see it.

I know hand-to-hand or one-hand-and-spell are more likely, but I just really want to poke something, you know? Haven't been able to do that in years, and Zelda BotW really made that fun.

I don't know what I'd want to see with a new class, but I'd prefer they still try to equalize the power of the existing classes a bit better before making a new super-class. We still have circumstances where Necros and Wardens have a lot of capabilities the base classes don't.

As for races... I'm hesitant to see new races come into ESO before we start seeing them in mainline TES games. I feel like there are some things that would turn TES fans right off - any Daedric race, or any of the extinct races like Ayleids or especially Dwemer. They'd be playing with fire if they tried to introduce any new races.

The few that I could see them considering (and possibly even giving us landmasses for) would be Maormer and Tsaesci. Both races exist in ESO already (though we don't get many Tsaesci outside of Vhrydasue) and have reasons that we don't see much of them. I was actually wondering if TES6 was going to start looking into Akavir and giving us some of the Akaviri as a possible race - we know they have a lot of samurai-esque styles, so it may be interesting to see that side of TES. And the Maormer... honestly I wouldn't be mad to get them. Ever since Ylahizu turned my character into a Maormer (with Velsa's hairstyle... 😒), I kinda wanted to play one.

    Few weapons would be necesary,
    10 races
    6 clases
    6 weaps
Much more races than clases, and weaps are way less

If I have to choose: i would choose weapon skill-lines,
    Some ideas:

Actually, without my fav addon in Skyrim (Nock to Tip), range in that game's not real great either, because if you want to get 2x damage from stealth it mostly won't work since the aggro range is so much greater than in ESO - so by the time you're close enough to get the stealth damage modifier, you've generally already aggro'd the mob, especially in dungeons.

I mostly don't play Skyrim unmodded, but just right now friends and I have a challenge game going, no mods except for a few QOL ones (like No Kill Cams and Silent Hero for me), and all of us have come to the above conclusion!

All three would be great and I cannot really decide yet.

As a new class, I'd love to see an Artificer, with an ability to summon mechanical pets.

As a new race, I'd be delighted to see the Maormer come in. Gameplay-wise, there's still room for a race with an affinity or resistance to lightning, ande lore-wise, they're probably the easiest to integrate (although it might be possible for some Goblin-ken as well). However, I doubt they'd fit in any Chapter that wouldn't be the centerpiece of a Maormer-centric yearly story, and the next Chapter will apparently be centered around a playable race, which they are not (yet).

As a new skill line, well, there's still plenty of room really. Unarmed fight, mounted fight could be great. And there's still room for new weapons (spears, one-handed scepters, talismans or whatever you call a magicka-themed equivalent of shields, ...)
    My characters:
Main and crafter: A Breton magicka templar named Erwann Sorril

I would prefer that they balanced the existing classes and skill lines first.

Other than that, new skills would be cool IF they are balanced with the skill-lines that already exist
