The system mail bug around since launch - Unacceptable

If you buy from vendor , it doesn't get delivered or you cant open your mail. Sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't.... only way to fix is re-log or goto another zone

You need to wait a few seconds, open the mail icon, if the mail isn't showing, close inventory, wait a few more seconds then reopen the mail icon. For me, with high ping on satellite it can take up to three tries, but it does get there eventually.

Thought they had fixed it, when I buy something from a guild trader I get the email straight away now.

This, it seems to work now, previously you needed to change zone to force an mail update.
I guess it still have an delay know mail has an delay on login.

It works most of the time like that. But sometimes I hear the mail notification, I see the icon lighting up, but mails are not loaded when I open mail window. Changing zone makes it work again, like old times.
I haven't tried waiting and trying again and again tho, porting to my house would take same time anyway.

Matches my experience too. Purchases in store receive immediate mail notification, but the actual mail CAN BE delayed a several seconds. So far I've found exiting the mail UI and doing something else for a few seconds (<1 min), when opening the mailbox again the mails are there. Not sure what the complication about all these mails, but the current situation is more than acceptable, especially when compared to the issues we're having for years.

Has that problem to but thought it was because of addons, still mail shows up in less than an minute so not an major deal, better than having to switch zone to receive mail.

I too thought it was addons, so I installed ESO on a fresh VM instance, no addons.

Logged in, mooched around for a couple of minutes until the mail interface graced me with its presence, went to a vendor, purchased a couple of things, got the 'ping' of 'you have mail' straight away, still took another couple of minutes for the interface to populate with the purchases.

just because 'x' is less grievous than 'y' does not mean that we shouldn't be looking into making 'x' work without grievances.

Same, I haven't had this bug in awhile now. Sometimes it takes a few moments or my mail won't open at all but that's different lol

It's been very inconsistent for me as well, almost always in Rawl'kha for some reason.

Takes a few minutes, sometimes 5 minutes, but I just do something else and then check back. If I have to go to another zone or log out, I'm just thankful they fixed the "can't log on" bug.

No biggie.

Oh my God lol, I thought this was a feature having to transfer to another zone to get your mail lol. Thanks for letting me know its a bug. Think I've gotten vendor mail immediately once, and I was like oh, mails bugged.

Well, when I recall another game set in a world called Azeroth where you have to find a mailbox (or blow a whistle that has a REALLY long cooldown if you are lucky enough to have that toy), I’m always very happy to be able to work with my mail anywhere in Tamriel, even if I have to wait a few minutes or travel to another zone. When I first came to Tamriel, in my mind that was a wonderful feature, not a bug.

Yeah, I see that too. I exit the mail interface, wait a few seconds, and reenter the mail interface, and the mail is there.

Lol yeah they “fixed it” by instantly having the mail sound and icon. But thats all for me. I STILL have to reload or change instances to actually get my mail…like it was before.
So they practically didn’t change anything. Id prefer no sound no icon and get my item instantly like they claimed if I had to choose.
