ESO Xmas wish list. (Granted, I’ve been pretty naughty.)

I took a year off owing to Covid and health issues in my house…everyone is ok! But coming back, here are some pain points that really do affect if I’m going to spend real money on what’s now a preeeeetty old game.

1. A longer timer on retreating maneuvers. I know, not a big deal. But I do writs and exploration, and the lame lower timeframe is a true nuisance. I don’t care what the rationale is, I do daily writs on multiple characters, and the change to this skill is literally a significant reason I’ve stopped spending on the game.
2. I miss highly sought hard to get items. I remember the war or the one ring of agility, lol. It was sooo hard to get those, but it was fun grinding. Maybe the game wouldn’t support a long grind any more, that’s possible.
3. An update to Alliance War. I get why they don’t do it, but I honestly think a robust update could be as profitable as a chapter release. (I’d need more data than they give, though). An update to the keep system and new goals could breathe new life into the game (maybe). Heck, just fix the clogged toilet at Black Boot and I’d be happy (and less constipated).
4. the race to mediocrity. The game has held offense and defense potential in a narrow window for years and years. This has become stale and boring. I’d go for some bonkers decisions or items over the lame sameness we’ve had for five years. Heck, if an RNG made it possible you’d. Explode after spending five minutes in a Sieged keep, that’s be more fun that the silly dance that pvp has become.
5. New loot. I don’t have ideas, but guess what? I’m not paid to have ideas, it’s your game, be less lazy, lol. But what I’m saying is that there’s nothing I want or need in the store, so my spending is at bare minimum. Is it possible to increase spending in a really old game? I’m not sure, but I have to think there are better products than the game’s 5000th hat.
6. A refresh to furnishings. I know, this will never happen. However, I see a world where better game designers created a furnishing system where you could upgrade a furnishing’s quality. A green table gets place settings when upgraded to blue, and upgrade from purple to gold decks it out. This works around the furnishing limit issue and would allow diversity and vastly expanded options…but I’ve never accused video game designers of being particularly innovative or creative. I’ve worked for gaming companies…they are not. No, they are not that. Lol.
7. Dragons in Cyrodiil. Don’t lecture me about lore, I don’t give a carp, lol. If a certain number of players on keep property triggered a dragon to come down and start frying people, I’d go for it.
8. Stale quests. I can’t say I have a solution, and maybe we need the new engine to make new objectives possible. But I’m now preeeett bored of “a witch turned me into a chicken, can you walk to three circles on your map then come get 100 gold and a useless piece of trash armor as a reward?)

I think it’s possible the game is just too old to get a large enough boost to invest in it. But maybe not. Regardless, some of the smaller mods I’ve listed make me feel they can get a little more out of it than they’re getting.

You got the Wild Hunt ring? All my writ toons wear that, and my main (who's pretty much retired) is always in Cowards Gear. Adept Rider is great too.

Thoroughly agree on gear and furniture.
