TG Heist issues

For reference, I used to be addicted to heists and sacraments. I did them every day on every character. I've since started to run them again and I'm seeing some things I didn't noticed.

Are these bugs or by design?

- Sometimes the blue circle around a lantern-carrying, stealth-revealing mob doesn't appear unless I come out of stealth and go back into stealth again. This is causes a failure of the quest if I don't notice it.
- Trip wires look to be glowing brightly but other traps (particularly the ones that are a square of ropes and very hard to see) do not glow at all.
- Bear traps do not glow.
- Trip wires and square rope traps are sometimes unable to be targeted and, therefore, impossible to disarm.
- Trip wires do not appear to be able to be jumped. On my screen, I easily clear the rope but it triggers anyway.
- The blue reveal circle around stealth revealing mobs is far bigger than it appears on the screen. I can be a full character width outside of it and still get revealed.
- Success rate on forcing locks is far lower in heists than overland even though the success percentage displays are the same. I have an 80% chance to force an intermediate lock but fail my first attempt almost every time, my second attempt most of the time, and usually succeed my third. But even then my third attempt fails far more than 20%. I assume they lowered the success rate in heists, which is fine, but please display the true rate.
- The Night's Silence crafted set is STILL not ignoring the stealth speed penalty like the 5-piece bonus should. It does nothing.

You aren't the only one to notice the lowered success rate of forcing locks in Heists.

I've tested the rate in overland chests, and found it to be accurate to the percentages stated. @Rittings has tested heist chests and found that the force lock chance was noticeably lower for heist chests.

point 1 about the anti-stealth circle is definitely a bug, if your a NB and use cloak it will still show the anti-stealth field without needing to toggle crouch again

the forcing locks issue is all around, ive been in overland and failed a simple lock force pick 12x in a row (only happened once, but sometimes can still get up to 6 fails in a row even on simple/intermediate locks), ive noticed that master/advanced usually have almost better success rate than simple/intermediate when forcing

the trap glow is likely an inconsistency (certainly not great, although my speed capped stealther has to block walk when trying to disable traps because i end up accidentally running into it)

the last point about nights silence is a known bug (theres several threads on this in bugs forum), i personally just use the vamp passive on my stealther to get this same bonus for basically free instead of using 5pc set for it

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Add one more very old bug, if you disarm an rope trap it will reset after 4-5 minutes but it still look like its disarmed.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I'm using the stealth speed CP perk along with Jailbreaker set and Wild Hunt ring. It's fast enough to complete any heist or sacrament easily but I'd rather have the stealth speed via a set and save those CPs for something else.

The entire stealth mechanic in this game is terribly broken and should be completely overhauled. I've run into the majority of issues you've outlined. I was disappointed that I purchased the TG DLC as I was looking forward to playing it, but the absolutely busted mechanics made it un-fun and frustrating.
Content Pass is not the answer. It is a question, the answer is No.

I don't think all traps should glow. Never had trouble with that set not working but it's been quite a while since I used it.

I used to do these on a mag sorc years ago and they were quite challenging. In 2021 on a vamp NB they're crazy easy, you're just so fast and Darlocs Brae gives so much sustain you can pretty much perma cloak.

I was wondering how non-nightblades could see the anti-stealth circles when they were bugged.

I'll add another one: The recent change to how long it takes to unsheathe your weapons has made heists a lot trickier, because everything you do in a heist (unlock chests, go into baskets, disarm traps) sheathes your weapon and you have to remember to unsheathe them right away or you won't stealth in time to avoid a guard because it takes longer to activate the skill now when your weapon is sheathed.

Let's add missing Sacrament target to the list. LOL. This game..aren't these DLCs like 5+ years old? Still a mess.

I'm doing the same Sacrament for the third time today. Brunka is the target. I"ve done it twice so I know exactly where she is. Head there for my third completion and...no Brunka. Just didn' spawn in I guess.

So we'll take some of the hardest sets to collect, put them behind a non-curated coffer, AND a set of bug-filled daily quests.

ZoS made a bunch of changes a while back to both sacrements and heists (it was before a TG and DB event). I think a target has several possible spawn points now. Look around more. You can always leave the instance and go back in (if it's a spawning issue).
