Please let ESO+ members filter out DLC dungeons

As per title. Me no want do DLC dungeon with terrible fake tanks and healers. I didn’t buy the dungeons because I don’t want them. Please let us filter them out and let the leets have their treats.

Random does not mean random group composition, that’s the players lying. Random means two DDs, a tank and a healer. Non-ESO+ members don’t have the DLC issue so why should paying customers?

    Agreed.

I am tired of the game being ruined by folks who have no respect for their fellow dungeon mates.

If non-ESO+ players have bought the DLC in order to experience the story they might have the same issue here as well.

While for the most parts I don't mind, I do however think that most people will disable the dungeons where they completed all items from and therefore use the group finder for even more efficient farming, hence I'm leaning more towards not providing such a feature.

As always when discussions about random dungeons and group finder are started, grab 3 of your friends and run the dungeons without the tool if you don't want to run specific DLC dungeons. Here you should experience the dungeon like you basically want otherwise you need to talk to your friends.

Yes this would be very nice. I delete two of my dungeon farming characters after they get high enough that they can start getting dlc dungeons from the random queue for just this reason. An hour or so of doing dolmans and I'm back to level 10 and can start all over again.

I want to support the game and as such I pay for ESO+ but in this case paying seems to be more a punishment. I would love the option to just not have them included in the random queue instead.

Random queue is meant for filling out missing spots in dungeon-specific queue. It is why DLC dungeons should be in the random dungeon queue too. To fill the spots for specific DLC dungeons. Without random queuers, the wait times for specifics would be far too long - so no thank you. Keep DLCs as part of randon queues. The reward for being a filler is there.

If you do not want to be a filler, queue for specific dungeons you want to do.

They want protection from tanks and healers in NORMALS of so things. They don't want to do nDLCs. They don't want to do trials or arenas. They don't want to pvp. They don't want a tougher overland. They don't care if their dps is suspect.

Do we see a theme here? They don't want to do anything. This is one of the most casual friendly games I have ever played, but they want it all even more casual and easy.

I bet they would love the console commands from the past Elder Scroll games and get their infinite health and max skills without doing anything.

Be a tank and see how bad it gets with DDs and then we talk again.

Thats pretty much the point of it. Besides most of the DDs complaining about fake tanks and healers are not interested in solving the problems actual tanks and healers have nor do they want to play one or ever did so i have no sympathy for them in any way.

For what it's worth, I agree. Personally, I just bought the chapters on sale and unsubscribed from ESO+ but yeah, it's absolutely bonkers. I just don't get why ZOS does this. I can't be the only one who unsubscribed because of this. It has to be costing them money.

That said.... Do we need another thread on this? We've just had this one. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/592408/why-im-holding-off-on-renewing-my-eso-subscription-nrnd/p1

I'm starting to wonder if, much like the vexed and thorny issue of overland difficulty, one of the mods needs to create a stickied thread for all these to go into. It's once a week.

It’s not only that. If you get put into a random dlc with people under 50. It’s either a long drawn out experience or you don’t get a complete or both.

Since this keeps coming up so much, they should give it the bgs treatment, split it into dlc/non dlc qs for a test period and just see what happens.

Maybe it's not sustainable and then they have the data to prove it.
Maybe subs jump back up and the dlc q is healthily populated by people who actually want to be there.

    Let's just test it.

But thats more a problem of opening DLC dungeons at level 45 than it is with the random queue as a whole. There where discussions some years back among players to increase the minimum level for DLC dungeons to CP160. You can also get similar issues with vanilla vet dungeons in pledges.

The number one reason for subscribing is the crafting bag and ppl that like and use it wont unsubscribe just because of this.

From my perspective its like this. I suggested this feature years ago and the answer from DDs at the time was: "no this would make it impossible for me to farm DLC gear on my DD". And like it or not, that is the reality, if you could opt out of DLC dungeons for the random dungeon you would get a hard time if you would ever want to farm a DLC dungeon for gear. Iam a Tank for years now and my biggest struggle are DDs that deal no damage and are otherwise completely uncapable. My solution is that i simply drop groups if they are to bad or if its one of these super long dungeons. That completely solves the issue for me to an acceptable level.

You can't do that for randoms. Instead we are reduced to queue for random as a group, oh its a crappy DLC, all exit, walk in the door of the first pledge dungeon, do pledge, queue for a random, oh its a crappy DLC, all exit, walk into door of second pledge dungeon, do pledge, queue for a random, oh look crypt of hearts, do random

Or failing that we queue with one non ESO+ or low level each time.

So not only is it broken, but it's also pointless because everyone just either works around the mechanics, or as anyone doing PUG randoms knows the tank will and healer will just quit about 5 seconds after they get Scalecaller or DoM or similar delights, or if there is a sub level 50 in the group.

I agree. My current solution is to not do randoms at all. When I pug, it is by queuing for a specific non-dlc dungeon. No amount of 'rewards' can make something that is not enjoyable into something enjoyable. Does raise the question as to why dlc dungeons are considered so inferior to non-dlc dungeons by so many (including me). Therein is the root of the problem. Remember, we're talking normals here. Obtuse and pug-killing mechanics and one shot kills belong in vet.

OR maybe, hear me out here, many of us just want to have fun without having to analyze our build, dps levels, meta, or getting ganked whenever we enter a PvP map. What you consider fun will be wildly different from what others consider fun and is indeed arbitrary.

There are reason many of us play this game over say dark souls or new world/eve and that could be, just spitballin here, because it is so easy to play and we derive fun in a different way than you do.

As for the console commands, lets not get to ludicrous here as we don't want or need training wheels to have fun our way. Also we are paying for a service and if we do not say want potato salad with our steak then we don't want it forced down our throat either!

    edit: spelling

OP, if someone in the group is not performing to your expectations, you can always vote to kick and see what the rest of the group thinks.

You guys really should try and do the DLCs. They are not that bad.

If you have the time to spend on it, and in the pug case assuming the tank and healer don't quit on entry or on the first boss as usually happens. It's not that they are bad but many of them are very long (often longer than people with real life commitments have the time for), and the rewards aren't worth the trouble.
