Forum threads not showing as read after I have opened them

This started a week or two ago. When I have opened a thread it should be marked as read by greying the subject text, but it has stopped doing this. I have to refresh the page after I close the thread and then it will show as read, but this extra step was never necessary before.

This only happens on my PC using Chrome. When I use Chrome to access the forums on my phone it works like it always has. My desktop and mobile Chrome are both synced.

I haven't changed any settings and can't figure out what has changed. Any idea?

I have an issue on my phone where it tells me a thread has an unread post, only it does not.

This has been going on for many many months by now and reliably happens with all the threads on which necromancers practiced their craft. I haven't seen this happen with new-ish threads.

I'm using Firefox, btw.

Same for me, using Pale Moon, a Firefox fork.

This is happening with every thread, new or old. What's weird is it's only doing it on my PC Chrome and not my mobile Chrome even though I use the desktop site on my phone.
