Are you gonna out-heal a boss with a mechanic that will one-shot anyone without 30k health? Methinks you're a touch biased and / or do not play vet content.

Some people (me) can take tank base game dungeons just fine, and the people that can't are usually ones that don't know what they're doing (and probably won't continue queuing for ver as a fake tank), the whole fake tank being a super common thing happens in normal dungeons.

Nice good for you, but that wasn't my point. The whole "fake tank" thing happens everywhere and is not a problem at all in normal content. It is a problem in vet. More importantly, a healer cannot out-heal a one-shot mechanic, which was my point.
I've never seen fake tanks in veteran dungeons. Even if there are, I suspect they get vote kicked quick if it's not a base game dungeon. Are you gonna out-heal a boss with a mechanic that will one-shot anyone without 30k health? Methinks you're a touch biased and / or do not play vet content.

There are no unavoidable one-shot mechanics in normal, aside from pin mechanics.
I've been pugging vet pledges by myself for a while now on my latest DD character. Even pugged vFL hm today (HM took a few tries tho, I hate the ghost walls there). Never seen fake tanks in those. Hmm, maybe it's the time I usually play at. (earlier than prime time in PC-EU)I've never seen fake tanks in veteran dungeons. Do people just not queue for vet in this forum? It happens all the time. And, again, I'm not talking about normals.
Also, it's not a vote-kick-replace scenario. It's a vote-kick-wait-leave scenario in vet.

I’d prefer bosses and mobs to melt, as opposed to terrible dps that can not do their job which is to kill things. Sorry, not going to sit in any content way longer than it needs to be just to make you feel better. You won’t die, I won’t let you, but I got things to do so let’s burn and be done with it.
Fake tanks carry on. I appreciate you. (Just burn at least) Fake dps on the other hand…..? Ugh. Just a change of pace, flame on.

I like coming in with my "fake tank" magicka DK and doing 60%+ of the group DPS while holding aggro.
No thanks, I like my mobs stacked and boss staying in ground aoes.

Why would I take the boss out of aoe? I don't need to run like a headless chicken if I can block or roll dodge (while maintaining the bosses position).

Tbh, fake tanking is really easy like, inner fire and leash are avail for anyone, just you know? Slot it and everyone’s happy. Dungeon goes fast, pulls are faster cause they’e stacked, you won’t get kicked. Easy peesy

I'm xbox EU, not sure if that's a factor. Maybe I just have bad RNG with group finder

My experience is consistent with yours. I'm on PS4-NA.
My biggest problem with fake tanks is that (on vet, at least) they (or whoever winds up with aggro) kite bosses out of AoE, resulting in a net loss of DPS, almost regardless of how much they contribute themselves.
