Least favorite weekly endeavor?

Do you have a least favorite weekly endeavor?

For me, it's got to be "Kill 180 Foes with Class Abilities." It's hard for me to find a good location with lots of foes to farm without other players coming by every so often and "helping" me by killing all of the foes I've gathered around me before I can kill them. :(

Any PvP or complete 3 trials. It's hard to organize 12 man runs for some people, let alone 3 in one week

If it was 500 foes with class abilities in a week, I'd feel sort obligated to 'farm' it but 180 spread over 7 days I find quite easy with just a bit of attention. In fact, just that 'bit of attention' found me easily completing that endeavor the first day.

Also if the numbers were higher and I felt obligated to farm it, I'd be a little unhappy for a couple reasons. Weaving is counterproductive since you lose kills to light attacks and I'd tend to change my rotation or even skills around to optimize getting almost all kills from class skills. At 180 spread over a week, its normal business with just a few more foes.

I'm actually pretty pleased with the weekly (and daily) endeavors. Their numbers are such that it is fun instead of grindy.

Battlegrounds or any where we have to go back to a specific city in Cyrodiil to do the daily quests. I haven't enjoyed those ones.

My favorites are the repairing keeps and siege weapon dailies, or the ones that you use class or weapon abilities, as I find they require the least of my attention.

It's not the numbers so much as the other players who can't let me have my own little corner of the public dungeon, or beach, or other area where I'm trying to farm foes and be done with it. No matter where I go, there's always at least one player-- and more often, several-- who just have to run around and farm the entire PD, beach, etc. themselves. The concept of letting any other player have a tiny little corner of the place where they can kill foes without being constantly interfered with is utterly foreign to them, it seems.

I agree with @AcadianPaladin . I'd say that 180 class ability kills in a week is one of my favorites, because I can usually clear it just by playing normally.

I haven't thought about my least favorites, because there's usually at least one that I don't mind. I guess I'd be pretty bummed if completing a trial was the only option for a week, since I've never actually done a trial before. I avoid trials due to imagined stress.

Weapon abilities are no problem, as those are what I use anyway.

But for the class abilities I have to set up my back bar with class abilities-- easy enough-- so that I can try to grind the weekly endeavor and be done with it and then get back to playing normally. And I don't play with grossly overpowered characters like most players seem to prefer, so I don't have any class abilities that I can use to instamelt a large group of foes.

Oh, forgot to mention, simply won't touch Arenas, Trials or anything that smells like PvP or the Dark Brotherhood. That said though, never have a problem completing one weekly per week since the choices always include something I'm happy with.

It's a good thing we have choices!

Battleground-related ones are the ones I won't do.

The "kill 180 enemies" will happen naturally if I play enough.

The problem that I have with using class abilities to kill things is that my particular abilities that cause damage can't be used against 1 hp critters, so it's a lot harder to make it proc.

Yeah I don't get the class abilities one at all. I switched my skills around so that I had class skills on the bars and tried to use them as much as possible, and they never counted.

I also won't do anything that involves murdering citizens.

Trials. I've never set foot in a trial and never will. I would avoid an arena one unless there were no better alternatives.

The 6 dungeons last week was quite convenient as I was trying to get a lead from Banished Cells and ran that dungeon about 20 times at the weekend. But I dont normally do that many dungeons in a week.

Weapon and class ability kills I get from just questing. The pvp ones are probably the easiest for me even though I'm garbage at pvp, but I play it most days.

There are some endeavors I simply won't touch-- at least, not yet; although maybe someday-- but I don't mind them, because I just choose a different one.

And I don't hate the "class abilities" endeavors; I'll gladly do them by choice, given the alternative endeavors.

And it isn't that they're difficult in and of themselves, because they aren't.

It's having to compete with other players for kill credit that makes them my least favorite. It wouldn't be an issue if using class abilities to help kill a foe gave you credit, but it must be the killing blow or else it won't count.

I don't bother with the weekly ones, it's too much of a distraction from just playing the game - which I don't do for enough hours or in the right way for the weekly endeavours just to happen automatically.

Yeah, all the ones I won't do - PvP, dungeons, trials, etc. I think I've only done a weekly about 1/3 of the time.

180 with class abilities is trivial for me. I ran one Delve daily in Blackwood with my Jab-plar today, plus some overland mobs traveling there, and made it to ~50. Never saw another player.

(really, I've barely had to compete with other people while doing the various "kill lots" weeklies. Class skills on the Jab-plar, Weapon skills on my bow Stamblade. I just do the various delve dailies, and sometimes go play with the monkeys in Auridon.)

edit: yeah, remember that killing critters counts for "kill with X ability". So find a spot with lots of them, like the monkey building in Auridon, and one shot them all with, say, Poison Injection. Hmm, yeah, a bow helps. Much less running. And you can hit critters on top of all sorts of places.)

Guess it depends on your setup. Noticed most of my DDs are class-skill heavy for offense. Like jabs for templar and skull for necro

I don't mind the ones for killing a certain number of enemies, either with weapon or class abilities. It just means I need to think ahead to what I'm doing at the weekend: if I'm free then I'll put off completing it so I get as much as possible done while playing normally, if I'm not going to have much time for ESO I'll make an effort to do it sooner.

But even when I'm grinding it I don't try to find a 'grind spot' and just stay there killing the same things, I go to a delve or an area I know has lots of enemies which aren't much trouble and run a circuit. If I get bored with it or it's too busy I go somewhere else I can do the same thing. It gives me some variety and means other players are unlikely to be a problem.

Somewhat surprisingly I don't mind the battlegrounds ones either. I don't enjoy battlegrounds, PvP in a little pen does not appeal to me at all (especially the death matches), but since the endeavours only require you to complete matches they're actually some of the simplest and even with the queue can be quick. You can't just AFK of course and I do my best to win while I'm there but going in knowing the result is completely irrelevant to me makes it completely stress-free. I just have to stick around until the timer runs down or someone wins and then I win no matter what the score card says.

The endeavours I don't like are basically anything time consuming which I wasn't planning to do that day, like anything involving trials or arenas. It's possible one which takes more time could come up on a day I was planning to do that activity anyway and then I don't mind it, but it's pretty unlikely.

The Class kills one is so easy for me as that's my main way of offing mobs super quickly. Most mobs melt to my class skills in a hit or two. Got this weeks done in about 35 mins.

It's the Weapon kills ones that are HUGE pain!

I have to put the companion away as they always kill steal and the kills take longer as I have to make sure to do as little as I can not to proc anything and be sure the weapon makes the kill.

My rotation/muscles memory isn't suited to that play style.

Whenever I see that one as a weekly I know it's gonna be a slog!

On another note though, I think this was the first time I've seen a daily endeavor that was basically a Freebie! The complete an endeavor one! Doing any of the others just gave you that one! Nice!

I suppose it helps that I have different alts with totally different builds. Magplar is jab-heavy and all class skills. Stamden is half class skills, half bow AoE, so I use it for the weapon poison tasks. Stamblade is almost entirely bow skills, so it's for weapon skills. /shrug
