The Greater Storm Atro lasts 28 seconds and attacks nearest enemy. The Charged Storm Atro lasts 21 seconds, attacks nearest enemy, but also has an AoE pulse that hits all enemies every few seconds. Most players prefer Greater Storm Atro because the longer duration means you get higher damage-per-ultimate-spent, and most players are interested in damage against bosses, not groups of enemies. But it is up to you. If you are not interested in dummy parses or boss fights, and like an ultimate that can clear trash, Charged is fine.

Charged if you're using it more on Bosses, Overcharged if you're using in large trash packs or to deal with adds in boss fights.

Greater Storm atronach is better imo because it's the best single target ultimate in the game. If you want aoe damage from an ultimate, I would run destro staff ult on your backbar to use in aoe situations or meteor.

tab target didnt help to hit someone, only to highlight him

It prioritizes them as the target so you can LOS all you want around that Atronach, but all the attacks being aim at you will go for you over the Atronach.

Yes, you'll see them behind walls but you can't hit them behind the wall. Targeting a foe with the Cycle Preferred Enemy Target key (the tab target) is still subjected to line of sight. All it's doing is when you are giving it two potential targets it'll prioritize the one you've set over the other.

Hard to see, but in these pictures I lined up two imperials and tab targeted the one farthest back. When I send the light attack despite one being closer it hits the rear most one instead of the one directly in front of me.

tab target highlights them which allows you to still track them if they go behind a wall. There are things that will break that tab target such as a cloak or invis potion and probably if they exceed a certain distance.

    Depends on the fight.

For tanking in a chaotic situation it's a blessing as you'll always see the boss's silhouette no matter what, but it will make taunting other things hard if you don't clear the target and need to target something behind them.

For fights where you need to focus a single enemy in a sea of hostiles it'll help in maintaining constant DPS on what needs to die regardless of what stands in-between you and them. (I.E. The Plucking the Crow fight during the Witch's Festival and other similar swarm style boss fights.)
