I've been having a strange bug with the audio when talking to NPCS.
It seems to come in two forms. First, when I click on a quest NPC, the animation begins, but the audio takes a few seconds to start. After that it the audio plays fine, but there are no mouth animations. Subsequent audio choices play as expected, with audio, animation, and lip-sinking working properly: until you come to a "quest update" choice (like when the dialogue takes you to the next stage of a quest) and then the same delay in audio and lack of lip-syncing occurs.
Next, when I click on a non-quest NPC, everything plays fine, but the text shown is often incorrect, like the text and audio are being drawn from random pools independently of each other.
Is this happening to anyone else?
EDIT: Seems to have been connected to a mod I had installed.
