False Martyr's Folly is the most boring delve in all Tamriel...

Of all the delves in Tamriel, False Martyr's Folly is the most uninteresting, boring, empty, unchallenging and unfinished one.

Except for the one quest that you do in there, there's nothing to see, nothing to do, no containers to loot. The mobs are recycled thunder bugs and hoarvors which I tend to simply ignore, since they don't drop anything that's even remotely interesting.
The boss is down faster than you can yawn (mind you, I'm not one of those 'we need hardcore gaming' fans, but this is subpar even for relaxed, casual old me.

It's as if somebody at ZOS said 'oh my Gods, we forgot to put a second delve!' a day before release, grabbed an empty cave, dropped in a few mobs and said 'all done'.

This one would *really* benefit from a bit of a rework... for the next patch, maybe?

Everything of late does seem to be pretty carelessly put together, with a lot of rehashed assets and minimal interactivity (lack of containers, more chained off doors, etc.)

It deinitely seems as if they forgot about the developer's letter that said that they were a little ambitious with their pushing out new content, and that it might be better if they slowed down a bit.

Yes, I also feel that (especially) Deadlands is lacking. While Fargrave is certainly different and interesting, the lack of legally lootable containers anywhere (except for one delve) is certainly a real downer for players like me, who love to gather. On the other hand, they had time to lovingly stock merchants stalls with hundreds and hundreds of furnishing objects that I, for one, was truly hoping to have available ingame. Instead, we're seeing the carrot, but constantly getting the stick... But that's for another thread.

But FMF feels like an afterthought. Like they realized they needed another delve and just plonked something down, real quick, but without really taking any time or effort with it. I hate doing the dailies for it, since I just run through without actually engaging in fun gameplay.

The thing I hate about this delve is the dailies have you pick up something that is way up above and the path leading up them is hard to find.

But yeah, the devs have been making container-deprived delves since Greymoor so that’s not new.

I don’t understand why they think filling delves with nothing but enemies is supposed to be enough.

    EDIT: autocorrect fail

I feel that's a general issue with the Sever part of the Deadlands. It's ... non-content. The Burn is at least visually much more interesting, has more varied monsters, and the landscape is more fragmented.

Fargrave is mostly retextured Redguard buildings, but it has a lot of new details, a unique layout, and lots of unusual people in it.

The Burn profits from a visual language that has been established for decades (since TES4:Oblivion) and has been constantly updated (last time with the Doomvaults in Blackwood), and that all the Daedra have been made to fit into that framework.

The Sever ... is a well-intentioned idea but it was obviously more than they had time and resources for. So it ended up as underlit empty plains with a few generic monsters and very annoying flashes of bright light that certainly don't evoke any feeling of danger or destruction ... and a radioactive pool here and there.

FMF is just the logical conclusion of that - it's all that's wrong with the Sever, distilled into a delve.

I prefer the Sever. The Burn is an eyesore just like the Atoll of Immolation was an eyesore.

It's a good example of how shallow the newer content releases compared to previous ones.

My comment to ZOS during PTS was that Burn needed to be more like Sever. Sever had the feeling of danger that the Burn did not have. The Burn felt about as threatening as Deshaan. The final Burn is a little better than what I saw on PTS, but the Sever still feels more dangerous to me. Neither is actually dangerous, though.

I will say that I can do without the Deadlands DLC bland greenish sky.
