Last boss Vateshran Hollows bugged

Yesterday I was fighting the last boss in veteran. I defeated all the mini bosses was fighting all of them of the very last stage.
The main boss suddenly goes up in the air like she does when she spawns a portal for you to grapple to. I had already defeated them all. I had no where to go. The big aoe comes I should have died. Did not. New ads spawn in and she is still floating in mid air. Still taking no damage.
I eventually was overwhelmed and killed by the ads.
I was under the impression that once you are on the last part of the fight you could take as much time as you needed to defeat the main boss.
I guess this isn't true.

✭No, it should be like that, that the big one-shot AOE stops happening once you've cleared the three islands, and I can also add to this bug report that I had the same bug happening one time, this was before U32 so the bug has been there before recent updates and patches.0
