Getting mail notification sound

I keep getting the sound every single time I zone on one of my two accounts even if I have completely cleared out the mail. Usually, after I get done with a random normal, it will flash that my mailbox is full when I open it to get the Undaunted reward mail. I'm not sure if it is reading mail that expired a long time ago or what, but the sound tends to get annoying after a while.

    I am on PC, all addons are updated. As I mentioned, I have two accounts and the issue is only happening on one of them.

    Check that leaderboard notifications aren't enabled, or otherwise if you're getting some kind of notification.

    It also happens when things sell on guild traders and can precede the actual mail arrival.

    Might try disabling all addons just to rule them out.

    All notifications disabled, all addons disabled, and it still makes the sound. The mail icon on the chat bar even flashes when it makes the sound when I zone.

    Might be at the 'run a repair' phase then. Can't think of anything else, and not aware of a widespread bug like this at the moment.

    Not long ago there was a bug and the game ignored your settings to disable notifications for leaderboards, and it played the leaderboard sounds regardless. That was pretty annoying but appears resolved.

    I had it on my main account several months ago as it was caused by me taking over a year off and mail expiring in my mailbox. The game read it as being there even though it wasn't showing. There was a patch that fixed it, but it appears to be back on my second account for some reason.

    I'm getting it as well. It's really annoying. You're not the only one.

    i was getting the issue back around when the OP was created, but it got fixed for awhile, but its started coming up again recently for me as well, i would say within the past week

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
