Opal Shoulders not obtainable from Mystery Coffers?

They used to be able to obtain through Mystery Coffers. This year you've added an Opal coffer for 25 keys. Did you move Opal shoulders out entirely from regular Mystery Coffers? Because I spent apprx. 150 keys on those before realising I weren't getting any. If indeed they have been entirely moved to the Opal loot table and are thus unobtainable from 1 key coffers, it would have been nice to have known in advance.

Had a friend asking about this last night cause of the same reason. They had spent 400 keys with no shoulders if I recall correctly

That's awful. Sources on the internet still state the Opal shoulders can be obtained rarely from Mystery Coffers, which, last year I did get a fair number of them through that source.

This could need clarifications, the 2021 Undaunted article was previously entirely copied from 2020, and contained wrongful information about a handful other things such as numbers of tickets per day and also indriks.

Is the section about mystery coffers correct or not? Because we're several in this thread who have spent hundreds upon hundreds of keys on those without getting the Opal shoulder pages through that source; if we were supposed to spend 25 keys per Opal coffer for guaranteed Opal style pages instead starting from this year, it hasn't been made very clear and we've lost out on a rather substantial potential number of style pages for that reason.

I got an Opal Style from a mystery coffer (Maj's) last night.

Edit: it might not have been opal, but it was a yellow style page for a shoulder piece

I spent exactly 150 Undaunted Keys.

I bought 100 coffers from the dlc dungeon guy, and 50 coffers from Maj.

Results were:
• 4 Chokethorn Shoulders
• 4 Grundwulf Shoulders (monthly dungeon)
• 7 Lord Warden’s Shoulders
• 2 Swarm Mother’s Shoulders

All of these were regular shoulder page drops. I received exactly zero Opal shoulder pages.

So it seems Opal pages aren’t dropping from them I spent a huge amount of time to collect those keys... previous events dropped Opal pages from those coffers so what’s going on? Is this intended?

At least I got a ton of properly traited-weighted shoulders from monster sets that I'd reconstruct in near feature plus regular style pages plus a couple of merc chest motifs.

But I did consult with event announcement before doing this and it stated that I do have a chance.

EDIT: Oh, I guess it's the wording... very confusing. Like, we know that mystery coffer is the thing for one key, right? Turns out there is special new mystery coffer.

It most likely is working as intended, they should have kept wording from last year:

If you’re feeling lucky, they also sell Mystery Coffers for 25 Undaunted Keys that can drop a random Opal Monster Shoulder style page, too.


This was way more clear than:
These vendors will also sell mystery coffers that provide random Opal shoulder style pages.

I don't know if that was even clear last year, when indeed we could acquire these style pages from the coffers literally named Mystery Coffers. It doesn't help that their article last year said the Mystery Coffers cost 25 keys, when in fact they cost 1 key.

Yup. I got my shoulders last year from the 1 key coffers. I didn't farm up keys before this event, so I'm basically SOL now. I thought it would be fine because of last year. I wasn't expecting like a 2000% increase in price. That's pretty lame.

It’s also disappointing that there is no “past event items” bag from the impresario. Once again players have an event where they don’t have anything to purchase from the merchant after obtaining everything… just wasting tickets.

Personally, I would like to see events offer rewards that are somehow related to the event. Like this one, why couldn't the Impresario offer all the actual Monster Helms/Shoulders for 10-12 tickets each and let me choose the reward that is actually meaningful to me?

As it currently stands, I haven't seen an event reward in over a year now, that interests me even in the slightest. I am constantly sitting on 12 tickets except when I buy the next housing part, which I was very much looking forward to all year... but now that they allow you to preview it, doesn't interest me in the slightest either. Its a dumb house with little to no thought or effort put into it, I was really hoping for something cool and unique like the Antiquarian one is.

I did get a chokethorn opal shoulder page from Maj (1 key mystery box) on PC/EU. It seems to be very rare compared to the non-opal page drops though. All of the regular shoulder pages for EH1, EH2, Spindle1, and for some reason Spindle2 can drop from Maj's mystery box too at the moment. Presumably Glirion's box will give Direfrost shoulders and the Lord Warden shoulders will also drop from the DLC person - I haven't tested those tho.

Something is certainly bugged then.

RNG can suck sometimes ofc, but people spending 100+ keys (150 keys in my case) with ZERO DROPS.... last year I received a ton of drops by doing the same thing.

There is a rule that you have to have collected the regular version of the shoulder style page to have a drop chance of the opal version. Had you unlocked the regular chokethorn shoulder when you got the opal drop? Maybe the requirement is bugged.

Anyway it would be nice to get an official reply so maybe we can pinpoint the issue or whether we're all having these one in a million odds of bad luck lol.
