Mix 'n Match Costume Pieces

I would love to see separate costume pieces we could mix and match to make our own custom costumes. This is how I could see it happening:
  • Costume pieces could only be used with other costume pieces, not mixed with armor styles
  • There would be a separate icon at the outfit station for Costume Outfit
  • There would be sections for Chest, Waist, Legs, Feet, Heads and Hands, with Head, Hands and Waist being optional
  • Any optional sections left blank would remain blank
  • If a Robe was used for the Chest slot it would also fill in the slot for Legs
  • All sections of the mandatory Costume Outfit would need to have an attached piece before the outfit would be usable

I was surprised that "costumes" were one piece since it limited design on our end and could be limiting sales in their store. But it is what it is. It would take a lot of work to separate the costumes out into pieces and add to the outfit system.

Would it take any more work than adding all the new armor styles with each chapter and dlc?

They could take the existing outfit window and alter it for costume pieces only.

They will add new armor styles each year regardless so it is not relevant. However, yes it probably would as costumes were not designed in pieces.

I merely commented I was surprised and noticed the obvious that it would considerable effort. Beyond that, I do not care as it is not a significant problem and there are much more important QoL items that should come ahead of this.
