Upcoming Undaunted Celebration - what a solo player can do?

Hi, I’m mostly a solo Warden Class player, I play with a friend twice a week.
According to CP guide, my player is balanced between Healer, Tank and DPS.
I have about 650 CP.

Can I participate in the upcoming Undaunted Celebration other than watching the dungeon from the outside,
and in what way?

Thanks!

Fungal Grotto 1 dungeon on normal is a pretty easy solo even for people with lower CP. Idk if you have a companion but it can help you with that.

There's also the undaunted delve daily, and delves are entirely solo content. It's the guy in the tent near the Undaunted quest givers.

Of course you can, just PUG a random normal, most are pretty easy, no need to be on mic, just follow the speed runner and get your rewards.

    Undaunted event
    starts thursday
rewards 2 event tickets, and opal style pages
Task: do 1 dungeon, like the very easy fungal grotto 1 on normal.

Note: if you are level 45, you also can do undaunted pledges. This means you do one of some dungeons quests from 3 undaunted questgivers (e.g. outside the gate at the wayrest guildtraders).
The pledges reward you with undaunted keys, that you can use to buy monsterset shoulders.

    How to become undaunted:
travel to Davons Watch in Stonefalls, head down to the beach.
Talk to the Nord in the fish restaurant.
    This unlocks the undaunted skills.
Now you can already pick up the daily delve from Bulgrur in wayrest (even below level 45).
The nord asks you to enter fungal grotto.
You can queue in the dungeon finder, or simply ride very west to fungal grotto in stonefalls, to the entrance. Then return to davons watch - finished.
You now can pick up the daily pledges if you are level 45.
If you are below, you will receive an invitation by mail when you reach 45.

I personally use a solo-tank for such events.
Frontbar sword and board, using a skill from Dragonknight, alternatively from the fighters guild to taunt enemies.
If you use Orgnum scales as heavy armor set, you have good resistance for a tank in normal basegame dungeons like fungal grotto 1.
Advantage of queuing as tank is, that you don't have to wait forever in the queue unlike DPS roles.

I use New Moon Accolyte as second set, dual wield on the backbar. So if it turns out that the current group does not really need a tank, I switch to the backbar and help to burn down the bosses quickly as "half-DPS".
Both sets are craftable, so no need to farm them first.

During this event people do not really care about roles in easy basegame dungeons on normal, everybody just runs and tries to burn down the endboss quickly. I use the tank setup just for the rare occasions that I end up in a group with 3 low level players, who show effort to play their roles correctly.

All good ideas above though the delve quests won't give you tickets :) if you want to join a group rather than soloing, you don't need to do a random to get the tickets - just finish a last boss.
So queue for one of the easy starters: fungal grotto1, spindleclutch1 or banished cells1 and stay with the group (in fungal grotto there's a skip a lot of folks do after the first boss which takes you straight to the last boss) - If you're too far away from the group and they finish the last boss, you won't get loot (or tickets)

For events I solo Fungal Grotto 1 in Stonefalls. Just walk in the front door - no queuing. Take things at my own pace. Spend time looking for chests and heavy sacks, and admiring the scenery if I feel like it .

The bosses don't hit too hard. You won't get one-shotted or be subject to paralyzing crowd control. There are no strange mechanics to learn. It's just a series of straightforward fights.

And if I can do it, with my tragically low actions-per-minute, and my immobile fighting style, it must be easy ;)

There is a delve daily quest too. It should reward a box.

Do you just enjoy solo play more or is that all you are accustom to?
If you want to do more, you may want to try healing easier dungeons in dungeon finder. With the new armory system, you can make a 2nd setup. There are a lot of easier dungeons to do (especially on normal). Warden has a great toolkit (class skill) for tanking or healing.

Many, if not most/all, dungeons can be soloed, although of course each individual player's skill and character build are going to be factors in how successfully and easily they can solo any given dungeon, and at what level. The Undaunted Celebration is a great time to try soloing a different dungeon each day to find out which ones you can handle and which ones you need to get better at.

This might help. https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/hhor97/soloable_dungeons/ There's a few lists around but that looks pretty accurate.

With 650 cp you should be able to solo those; if in doubt stick to the ones with 1 in the title. They're almost always easier. If you have a ring of the pale order and a companion, go to town.

Personally, I'd do a different one each day. Sure Fg1 is easy quick but hey, it's going to get boring

If you've never tried soloing a dungeon before, an important thing to note is that there's a "Dungeon Mode" setting at the top of the "Group & Activity Finder" screen that lets you select either "Normal" (simple shield icon) or "Veteran" (ornate shield icon). This setting controls whether you'll get the normal or vet version of a dungeon when you enter it by yourself. Be sure to set it to "Normal" if you're getting ready to solo a dungeon for the first time-- unless you feel pretty sure of yourself, in which case you can select "Veteran" if you wish.

The way I read this post, no event tickets via the undaunted daily delve:
    ZOS_Kevin wrote: »
@Serenez, thanks for the questions. This is a regular Undaunted Reward box for the event, not to be confused with the Glorious Undaunted Reward Box. Bolgrul's delve quest will not grant event tickets.

@wtlonewolf20, the reward boxes for the event do not contain Transmute Crystals.

I agree with above that FG1 is the easiest group dungeon to solo. If you can't solo it, then your best best is to sign up for it in group finder and pug it.

Fungal Grotto I, Daily Delve. 650 CP isn't low, vMA is already doable at that point and it's way harder than soloing normal dungeons, pretty much all those that are soloable (i.e. without plates/levers to be pulled at the same time), not just FG I.

In many cases doing a normal mode dungeon through the dungeon finder is no different to playing solo and fighting world bosses - there will be other players there and you'll be doing the same thing at the same time but they won't speak to you or acknowledge your presence in any way and the most interaction you're likely to get will be having to rush to keep up with the quickest/highest DPS players so you can qualify for participation before they wipe everything.

Whether that's a good thing or not depends on your preferences, but it does mean it's not a big change from open-world to instanced play.

If you can solo the "Abomination" world boss in Deshaan, then the only thing you really need to do in FG 1 is focus on execution (don't stand in stupid, keep dots up, sustain) and manage adds.

At CP 600, you are likely a better player than I am at CP 1400. Because of hand problems, I can't consistently roll dodge, block, get my ultimate off, switch bars or use more than one potion per encounter.

However, on my stamden with bear, I have soloed all the normal base game dungeons except for Direfrost keep and Blackheart Haven because they need a 2nd person. And I refuse to do Selene's because its annoying that sone adds won't stay dead.

Here's my workarounds: use bear because it does not despawn in dungeons (yay!). Use Steed mundus because it increases speed and health regen (which means that I can usually run to bear and let him hold aggro until I can get resources back). Yes, Bear Bear (my character named him when she was 3) carries me a lot. A fully upgraded Companion helps even if they still die a lot.

When facing a boss and a ton of adds or bubbles or other stuff that will heal the boss if they get to them, I focus on knocking down the adds and bubbles and let bear play with boss until everything else is dead. Counting on bear and Mirri even let me do Eden Hollow 2.

When I first started going into dungeons, I would pause at the door and check out the health of everything so I would know if there was a mini boss in the room.

I know other people can burn normal FG1 in a few minutes, but I'm happy it only takes me 10-15 minutes to do (hate the dreugh miniboss).

A couple things that may help... First off, the games CP guide is historically trash and gives horrible build advice. Next I would suggest not being balanced across 3 separate roles, as you will do none well, even worst if you have split your Attributes across Mag / Health / Stam instead of going all-in on one of them. Try to focus more on a single role. Since you play with a friend a couple times a week, my best suggestion would be you (both) try out a solo build. My wife and I recently both changed to solo builds (we duo mostly) and it is working out great, alone we can each solo most things, together we are unstoppable. Solo builds, which while mostly focusing on doing DPS, also incorporate tankiness and self healing / wards so you can survive. There are numerous guides out there, but Hack the Minotaur seems to focus more on Solo builds than most. Many of his builds also offer a 1 bar option, which are extremely fun to play since you do not need to worry about bar swapping. https://www.hacktheminotaur.com/solo-builds

Anyhow, that would be my advice, so you and your friend (or you alone) will be able to do most dungeons with relative ease.

I hear you, and agree. Whenever someone says "You can solo every dungeon," "You can solo every world boss," "You can clear all content naked," etc., I think "Maybe YOU can, but I sure can't!" I know what they mean-- the "universal You," which more properly should be "One"-- but it still tends to come across as either a boast or a put-down, trivializing something that is definitely not trivial for everyone and implying that if you can't do it then you need to "git gud and l2p."

I agree. No one here have boasted so far though, just giving an advice. Just saying the OP should try to solo if theres no other option available. You might get surprised if you havent tried before to solo a normal dungeon. And make sure its normal, at first try at least ;p

    @Kiralyn2000
Yes. Actually. Generally speaking they are. Fungal Grotto 1 is also easier than the public dungeons in Blackwood. If you can do those, you can do FG1. I have personally yet to meet someone who can't solo that place (although I am sure some exist due to things like high lag), though some take significantly longer than others, even ones that need help with worldbosses generally speaking. Fungal Grotto 1 is basically the gimme dungeon in this game meant to introduce people to the concept of dungeons rather than aligning with typical dungeon difficulty.

You can also skip most of the dungeon.
Use invisibility potions or skills to skip past all adds until you get to the locked door. From the doorway, use a ranged attack to pull the first required boss down from his ledge, being careful not to aggro the adds. Then run until you get to the waterfall and then jump up off of it. Then swim to the final boss.
