Falkreath Hold Pledge

Falkreath Hold is repeatedly resetting on third boss. Hadn't seen it happen before. This happening to anyone else?

    We had this problem and solved it by doing less damage to the boss to get into one mechanics phase.

    Yeah, someone mentioned that so we slowed down around 55%, and that worked. :)

    I consistently get 'vanishing' humanoid mini-bosses in that boss fight.

    You have to play 'where's Waldo' to find them first to initiate combat and then between phases.

    Funny that it happens in Fang Lair with the bear boss too.

    Is like they don't want to be in the same instance as myself, and I do shower regularly - often once every equinox even if is not necessary - so I don't really know what their problem is.

    Its been like that for a long time now . Havent found a way to avoid it , it looks like RNG if it happens . Only thing i noticed is that if the the boss dies at 51% instead of 50% it resets.

    Yeah, I looked back and there are some older posts on it. I came to the forums thinking there'd be lots of posts since it's a pledge, but definitely not a new thing. Just was new to me.

    We also tried throwing dots on where the bosses would spawn to see if that would keep it from resetting, but the only thing that worked was to just stop all dps on the boss close to 50%. Felt sort of like allowing the server to catch up and prepare for him to die. :)

    I supposed it was it was already fixed by now since i havent been in there for a while. Its not like its a hard fight or that it makes it harder if it takes longer . Its just annoying when you do a speed run and it resets 5 times in a row .

    This. Big skelly is fine. Three smaller minions reappear at 50% (as intended) then just vanish immediately after. Fight resets after that. I left the dungeon after a few tries.

    Can't be bothered to deal with bugs like that.

    this is due to the summoned pets such as the necro's ghost, warden's netch, nightblade's shadow, etc

    Can confirm that this is still happening. Just joined a veteran dungeon run and they were stuck there. We tried maybe 5 times to get past 50%, but didnt work. We tried to slow down damage but it didnt seem to make a difference. We tried leaving thecircle and starting over, didnt work.

    This also happened to me on another Falkreath run past week.

    I didnt read about an issue with summoned pets, but i did use nightblade shade. Will try to avoid that next time.

    Yep, had this happen numerous times while farming For Pillar of Nirn. Not only does the skeleton reset repeatedly after reviving the other bosses, said bosses will sometimes take up to a minute or longer to actually respawn (they'll appear for about a second before vanishing for a while).

    Been a few patches now this is still and issue and is also becomming an issue on more and more bosses, not just falkreath.

    Had this experience with Falkreath recently. Our healer was a necro so I'm sure he had mender up. Someone in group said it happens if different people grab the energy and do the cleanses, so when we reset I got on solo cleanse duty and it went fine. Played again the next day and didn't have the bug, but I don't remember if anyone had pets out that time.
    PC NA, CP2200+. Character creation is the true endgame.

    Yes. It's been bugged for quite some time. At least a few patches now. IDK why ZOS has not corrected it yet.

    PSA, a workaround to this bug is to make sure you immediately damage one of the witches on the phase change to force them to aggro.

    Posted this numerous times before. Why it happens and how to 'fix' it. Also posted 'fixes' for other dungeons.

    If I am tanking we NEVER get a reset now.

    We always stand on the entrance side of the circle on the 2nd split. Do not initially aggro anything for a second or so. Then I aggro with prox, and only taunt as soon as I know it will not reset.

    This should have been fixed when it was first introduced. We know the problem and why. If they can't fix it at least increase the leash tolerance range.

    Funny, I ran this dungeon solo like twelf times during the event to finish my stickerbook and it never happened to me. Must be related to having more than one person present.

    For me it was happening all the time as a warden. I unequipped the netch and it stopped bugging out. Seems the biggest culprit for me at least.

    Yeah, saw this a bunch. Just recently completed my stickerbook for falkreath, so was farming it pretty aggressively for about a week. Two things I found:

    1. Really fast nukes seem to trigger this, so avoid ulti dumping until after the add phase is complete.
    2. Sometimes positioning seems to effect it, so have your group stand in the center after you push the boss to 50% the first time. If you are all in the center, the adds seem to spawn most of the time.

    Both of these are merely anictodal, but they did seem to help. I think the record was something like 7-8 times resetting before the adds spawned properly.

    All pets both combat and non-combat seem to trigger this. I could have sworn thatZoS said they addressed pet making bosses bug out in the U35 update patch notes. Maybe that was just CR and HoF that were fixed.

    It's not the only instance of bosses and adds resetting, been happening lately in several other places as well. I made a bug report thread but it was just ignored. I guess no one else has experienced enemies resetting...

    Edit: And it happens when there are no pets in the group too. I believe it's something to do with the "joining encounter" feature that was added some time ago. At least I don't remember it ever happening before that change.

    This happened once during VET Falky. My group was damn good, but I can't fathom them doing so much damage as to skip mechanics.

    Another example is one of the lamia bosses in Arx Corinium that resets if you aggro her from the distance. Speaking of that dungeon, the last boss consistently ignores taunts... is that supposed to happen?
