Switch connections to lights.

I would like to see a way to connect items like the Clockwork Switch to lights that are not candle/torch flames or magic. Specifically lights like Layawiin Lamp, Dwarven Table Lamp, Wedding Lantern, etc. This way we can turn on/off a group of lights with a switch.

I know most lighting in game is done with fire and a full electrical system in game is most likely not something we'd see on Nirn, but in the case of some clockwork and dwarven stuff they would have a way to control lighting and the props exist, we just need a method of making the switch control the lights.

If you use the EFT addon you can link a switch to a group of toggleable items such as lights. Obviously this only works for people with the addon and doesn't work for players without the addon or console players.

I would really prefer something in game that everyone can use, it puts us all on the same page.

I would prefer that they actually FIX THE LIGHTING ISSUE instead, but hey... I guess it's only me since no one bothers to look into this.

The lighting problem is a big deal. I see it in overland areas, not just housing. I am not sure ZOS has a way to see it since they don’t play their own game over the internet like we do.

I would like to be able to use the Ayleid switch luxury furnishing to open the Ayleid gate Crown furnishings that I bought with gems.

It would be great to add this sort of functionality to the housing editor. It would be similar to what the OP is suggesting.

I really like this idea. I've always wanted the Clockwork switches to have some functionality when used. And I appreciate the thought of it being included in-game, instead of as an addon.

Addons are wonderful, and people are helpful for pointing out when an addon is available for an issue, but unfortunately, we Console players cannot use addons, so it's not accessible to us.

And, of course, just because there are bugs in the game does not mean we can't ask for fun things now and then. Fun things are what keep us here. (People are right to be frustrated when functions of the game do not work, of course, but having something nice added in the meantime while they look into such issues is, well, nice.)

Ya having some logic settings makes sense in ESO, at least for some simple things lights.

I play an early alpha game where you can build all kinds of stuff (its sci-fi based) and we can make use of full logic gates. Some of the things people do is insane.

I see no reason why this game can't handle a basic script to turn lights on/off when using a switch. I made this kind of stuff in 7th grade in the 80's on an Atari 800 XL.
