We need makeup sliders or more subtle options

There are a few that I like, including “black eyeliner and lips” and (no surprise here) “subtle natural makeup” but then ones like “subtle blue eye shadow” are not only not subtle but come with bright oversaturated over-opaque lipcolor and all the lip tints I’ve tried unfortunately have the same problem. The “gold lips and eyeliner” is another I’d like to use if only I could scale it back to around 25%. I certainly don’t want to take away existing options as some of these probably look good on some races or in combination with other things.

I don’t want to complain too much as at least we can choose whether and what makeup our characters wear, both female and male, but I’d love to be able to vary my characters’ looks even more and play with different options!

Yeah, for a game with a mature rating so much of the make up seems to have been designed by a 5 year old diving into a make up bag!

While we're at it, please return the subtle eyelashes back onto the crown store, ZOS. Probably one of the nicer cosmetics in the game that was relatively cheap at 200 crowns.

The issue I have with the lip tints, is that when I use them I lose my character's eye makeup. Because there's only one "slot" for face makeup/etc.

There are all sorts of combinations it would be great to have! Tattoos and various make-up too! Would it be possible to choose any three for this slot? Otherwise, it would be really nice to have “facial markings” split into more categories like:

- Skin (freckles, scars)
- Eyes (the new spiderkith and conjurer eyes as well as the oracle eyes)
- Eye Makeup
- Lip Tints
- Tattoos and Face-paint

I agree that there should be more slots. I've never really considered makeup because it was either that or scar/warpaint and I prefer the latter. Though, atm, I'm using one of the very rare pieces of makeup that somehow fall in the facial hair category.

That's the other reason more categories would be useful, there's some things which don't quite fit and it seems to be random (or the personal choice of the person designing it) where they go. Eye effects are split between facial hair, head markings and I think a few are classed as accessories.

Then why does it work on the face? Some markings also look more like body paint than tattoos. Argonians also have the same issue. If they use body markings they get the default skin type and pattern.

I guess ZOS treats all fur/scale patterning, scars, tattoos, bodypaint and any other such markings as one slot. I have also wished I could use both scars and tattoos on a character. I certainly would have nothing against enabling tattoos with fur on Khajiit as one doesn’t have to use what doesn’t make sense to them!

I have often thought, this is the real reason why scarred Altmer become outcast hulkynd — they can no longer wear makeup!

Not OP but I use the Bronze Color Eyeshadow and it is in facial hair. Magical Zephyr lashes have an eye shadow component and are also under facial hair.

Pretty much all the make up that has eyelashes are in the Facial Hair category. Such as Subtle Dark Lashes. Bronze Colour Eyeshadow, Dragonfly Wing Lashes, Anvil Sunset Eyeshadow, Dark Emphasis Eyelashes etc.

Would be nice if Subtle Dark Lashes and Dragonfly Wing Lashes returned, because they are a bit less...extreme.

Alas, the make-up from the Frost Atronarch crates are further examples of overdone IMHO ugly makeup. I was hoping one might add a frosty tint or a bit of a shimmery effect but instead these are more that I would never use.

There is the 'subtle freckles' but I can't even detect it on my characters on the low settings I play, so it'd be great to have a more defined option. I think NW, although it has an extremely limited character creation, at least got the freckles part right, they look awesome.
