Housing - need big ship

Just (half) finished Hunding's Palatial and it is obvious now that this house (previous owner a pirate LOL)
needs a big pirate ship.

I sorted some candidates from the best to the worst


-Kothringi Tidal Canoe - doesnt work, too small, looks too much civilian
-Fishing Vessel - even smaller
-Nord Boat, Fishing, still small, nord style doesnt fit
- Felucca -(any) - laughable as a pirate vessel in every aspect


Now it is obvious that even best possible ship is not good enough despite high requirements (chapter+daily+leads+maxed antiquity)

I thought about custom build but we dont have any usable components AND Hundings with 300 slots (ESO+ 600) doesnt allow any huge custom build.
So why we don't have any suitable pirate ship in the house builder yet ?

There is a lack of cool ships at our disposal, yes. I have the Tidal Canoe parked at the dock of one of my homes, but would love something bigger and more interactive.

I have seen custom builds, mainly from clockwork brass scavenged plates.
They are cool but they have 2 problems.
1. They tend to look as a Titanic (because of brass plates and angles)
2. They need to be huge and complex (because of the angles)

Both is not working for me as I need the ship wooden, elegant, not very complex (let's say <100 slots) and there are many ships in the game like this, just not available to use.
Even parts of the ships (hulls) dont exist.

I really don't know why devs are so reluctant give players ships.
Similar problem as musical instruments.
They are everywhere in Tamriel, just not in the house editor.

Now there's a gold sink I'd be into if they did something like add giant Aldmeri, maormer...or just any vessels or even mid-sized ones to the luxury furnishing vendor for gold. I want to be able to walk on them and in them, too, not just have them as a set dressing!

Wouldnt it be great if the furnishing had an interact button to put the sails up and down as well? I can dream! XD

The problem is that there were 1000 toppics on the forum already like give us boats, give us ships, give us musical instruments.
All closed like - this toppic is old, you can create new thread.
They even don't bother to explain us why ships are not introduced (except of couple of very small ones and they are grind to get).

So why are they not introduced ?
Models in game exist.
Parts of models that could be used as components exist.
People are willing buy it.

Some desperate people made already huge ships from tiny parts like brass plates or wooden furniture.

Mystery.

Maybe because of they want to keep aldmeri grotto unique... and though they've made huge huge furnishings in the past, like the windmill or those elsweyr block platforms, the majority of items are on a much smaller scale, especially compared to a ship. However, if they did decide to offer something like that, they wouldn't even have to devote a lot of work to it, as there are already so many ship assets in the game they could duplicate and use.

There are so many homes that would work great with larger boats as furnishings. Tel Galen, Forgemaster's Falls, Aldmeri Grotto, that Ayleid ruin on the Gold Coast, Grand Topal Hideaway to name a few.

We've said before there are dozens of boats that would be great for housing and could be fun unlocks along the way to master Angler.

Yeah, the Tidal Canoe is too small for the dock I built at Hunding's. But at least I have some sort of ship docked there, now (there's no way I'll ever manage Master Angler). So, it's a start.

Yes! I have the same problem! I have for role of my char Palatial and want have there some big ship too!
There is so much cool things what you can't have as furniture... What about music instruments?
Everywhere you can see many instruments, why they just can't make furniture from it?

Agree with all. I use EHT's ship FX as few places but the visual quality hasn't held up. I need a BIG ship - like the Nord fishing ship from vKA at actual size instead of 1/5th scale. One for Daggerfall Overlook (Spooky Overlook) to make a ghost ship, one for the Pirate Queen's Lair at Princely Dawnlight, and one for a super secret future project.
