Dark Convergence is now useless for everyone except...

Ball groups. How ironic. ZOS do you even realize this?

Used to be the ball groups just run around until their ulti's were ready, and if you get in front of them you get lagged out, they fear you, you can't move/break free and they dump their ulti's /detonations on you.

Now the ball group still just runs around and around until their ulti is ready, but now they Pull you in with DC , THEN you are lagged/feared/stunned// can't move and they dump their ulti/proxi on you.

They don't use DC for the damage anymore, they use it for the pull.

So the idea ZOS had to fight ball groups is beyond dead...they should just delete the set

    The underlying issue is that everything ZOS tried to add to counter ballgroups always ends up more effective for those groups instead.

    And trolls. Because there are still individual players running it, and that's the only reason I can see to use it now. Then again, yesterday, someone tried to gank me using.... venomous smite. I just stood there and looked at him. I'm guessing a lot of people don't read the patch notes and prob haven't figured out that they're "uber op" set now sucks.

    This set was an awful idea from the beginning. I knew this would happen on the PTS. Heck everyone knew this was going to happen on the PTS. Deleting it would honestly just be the right call.

    I still push peoples poops in BGs with it. Still one of the strongest sets, you just have to know how to use it well now instead of letting the double pull + insane damage + massive aoe basically carry you.

    They can add a system that counts how many players are in the same place and then applies a temporary nerf to damage, heal and resistances, it will punish ball grouping.
    Other thing that they can seriously think about is separating tank, healer and DD like other mmos.
    That does not mean that you can not build what you want from any class but you have 3 ways.
    Let's say that if you build a healer, u can not build your toon to mix of tank, healer and DD, if you do, you lack on everything.
    Healers should be healers, tanks should be tanks and DDs should be DDs, that would fix ball groups too, or at least makes them less strong. Both ideas together would work well.

    And how would you make that work? Except, of course, they finally change that "power" + max res scaling for damage AND healing so you're forced to spread if you want to do everything a bit. Like they did on proc sets.

    The pull on Dark Convergence was always the most important part of the set.

    Dark Convergence was one of the few sets with a Developer Comment explaining how/why it was designed. Literally says it's for zerg busting. Why does everyone keep saying it was supposed to be used to fight Ball Groups? Ball group =/= Zerg. They're mutually exclusive. Zerg is unorganized, ball group is the complete opposite sometimes micromanaged down to Glyphs on members' equipment.

    Plaguebreak is the set that was designed to cut deep into a Ball Groups ability to stay alive by deterring the use of braindead Purge Monkeys. If zerglings stopped using Plaguebreak because it stopped wiping organized groups by itself after most groups adapted, then that's just a zergling problem not being able to recognize the inconspicuous power it holds.

    TLDR:
    Dark Convergence made for Ball Groups to bust Zergs
    Plaguebreak made for zerglingss to fight Ball Groups
