Yes, it accumulates up to 4.8 million, so 12 days.Dagoth_Rac wrote: »Why would it matter when it kicks in? You don't lose it like a daily reward or event ticket. It'll be waiting for you the next day if you log off before 11:26pm.
Do you mean it's not time limited but my character will stay enlightened until the stated number of experience points have been accrued?
They're not trying to be contrarian, they're trying to be helpful. There are hundreds of little inconveniences in the game. When one of them, like this one, have no real material effect on anything people like to point that out in case you didn't know. This bothered me too at first, because I thought maybe I was losing XP by having it at a suboptimal time, but after looking into how it works I realized that unless I let it accumulate to the 4.8 million it doesn't actually matter at all. Enlightenment is completely separate from all other XP buffs, so there are no synergies to worry about with it.I mean that it could matter because I might want to use it up each day. Why do I feel like people take a problem with this "just to be contrarian" about it.

Create new character, and as you approach level 50, be careful to trigger the transition to level 50 at the precise time of day you wish your future enlightenments to be triggered. But so to the topic; there's no way to change this timer?

Thank you, I will try this out with one I'm currently levelling (but slowly)

I don't think it will work, because I have 9 Alts and time of Enlightment is still exactly the same as set by 1st character who reached lvl 50.

That's what I was going to say.
The only solution I can think of would be to relocate to a different time zone.
Real Estate Agent: "So, what made you decide to move to our beautiful state?"
You: "I wanted my Enlightenment to kick in 3 hours earlier."
Real Estate Agent: "Um... okaaaaaaay!"
Good point. I'm only using 1 character, so wasn't aware of that.Ippokrates wrote: »

What is the practical effect of changing the timer for you? Sure, your enlightenment kicks in late at night, but it will still be there in the morning when you wake up. It will still be there if you don't play the game for a week (plus all the other enlightenment you got in the other days).
As others said, your enlightenment accumulates up to 4.8million XP, or 12 days. As long as you log in to the game once every 12 days and spend it all, you are not losing any of it.
And if you stop playing the game for a few months and come back when a new DLC is out, you'll have 4.8 million in enlightment when you first log in.
My enlightenment kicks in at 12:30pm, which is the time I first logged in with a 50+ character when they implemented it.
There is no expiry date on it, as long as you don't go over the cap. That's what people are trying to tell you.
