Block not working on Xbox One x original

Can't use block at all, sometimes for 10 or more minutes. Sometimes I have noticed shield and sword disappearing visually for me. I can't tell if this causes the block issue or not because sometimes I can block when I can't see my sword and shield and sometimes I can block when it has disappeared. It has happened in dungeons and in PvP both. Just started after maintenance that I can tell.
