New Loot Rules Bug

While farming nFV, an item I had previously collected dropped, while many others remain uncollected. I believe this to be contrary to the intent of the system.

    Same thing happened in nBDV. I was missing Battle Axe of True-Sworn Fury and Maul of True-Sworn Fury, but the end boss was giving me duplicates from other sets. When I went to vBDV I started getting missing sticker book pieces from last boss.

    Maybe loot tables of some normal dungeons are messed up and some items are dropping only in vet? @ZOS_Kevin

    "Messed up." You mean "unfavored" for normal dungeons/trials? I have been suspicious that the loot tables were witholding some items to prevent completing sets under normal-only versions. This is the first evidence I've seen, and using their own system to prove that something is amiss.

    I really hope that they just 'forgot to activate curation for normal dungeons/trials' also.

    Perhaps shields are not being rerolled? It could be something along the lines of

    - this boss has rolled on the shield loot table. you have all the shields, therefore no rerolls will take place.

    It might forget that it could have rolled on the weapons loot table instead?

    Bugged. At the end of a vet dungeon, in my inventory I had just known items dropped in the dungeon. But I have a lot of missing items instead. So the boss gave me a known item.

    Any info ? @ZOS_BillE bug still presist u want me to post like what 10 screen shot ? My friend today banished cells 1 he have resto staff already collected and guess what droped ? Restoration staff...

    Alright, this isn't that bad honestly. It's still likely SOMEWHAT better than what we had before.

    And not binding the item immediately upon drop appears to allow for the game to give you a duplicate of that item. It's as though the dungeon had already decided which pieces would drop, before even starting...

    But that makes sense. The system lierally only works against what you have bound to you and collected in your set collection. You have not collected an item in your set collection until you bind it to yourself. So yeah, if you don't bind the piece that drops then you may continue getting that piece because you have not collected it yet. It being in your inventory is irrelevant.

    That is not true, my wife and I have made a point of binding every drop that wasn't already a duplicate, and still got duplicates of what we bound. We figured the game wasn't smart enough to know it just gave us something, but turns out it doesn't work regardless of what you do. They simply need to fix it.

    Also wondering, is this "feature" supposed to be global, like loot from all sources, or just from boss loot? I ask because quests, treasure chests, and various other sources all give duplicate gear, even though we have not completed sets. This is most noticeable in Deadlands, since it is new and we have done a ton of questing, dailies, WB's, TC's, etc... recently, and keep getting duplicate gear to what we already have in our sticker book.

    I think it is for last bosses in dungeons, trials, arenas, but also in public dungeons and delves.

    From what they keep repeating... All bosses in the game that hand out set gear. And I phrase it that way because currently it is bugged and not working correctly. :smile: Edit: Although, supposed to be fixed on Monday, and then we can see for ourselves how it works.

    Not chests or quest rewards, and also not trash mobs.

    Sure, so then the system does not work at all like it said.

    Pretty difficult to tell when only 5 people (all making separate posts) are the ones reporting their specific scenarios, but no exact numbers of items they had collected, nor the number of people they are grouped with, nor the specific dungeons, etc.

    It's just a bug. I did over 50 dungeons (all normal) in the last couple of days. Only got duplicates like 3 times. All other times I got things I hadn't collected yet.

    Yes, and apparently the overland named set bug and the group curated list bug are both slated to be fixed in the PC patch on Monday.

    On re-reading this, the above could be misinterpreted. Overland and dungeon chests, the ones that have to be unlocked or are just sitting in some random corner and are not associated with a boss, are not curated. Unlocked chests and containers dropped by dolmens, harrowstorms, geysers, and bosses are curated.
