I play on and off, sometimes a couple of months without logging in, so it's really more of playing when I want to.

Enlightenment has no effect of when I want to play, especially when I'm eager to play through content I haven't already like new zone dlcs.

By the time your CP gets high enough, you don't even notice that you have/had any enlightenment. It won't even get you 1 cp.

Um. I play 7-8 hours a day, on lots of alts, and I just don't pay any attention to enlightenment. I also don't pay any attention to levels lower than 50 - I mean how fast an alt gets a level.

It's not about the destination, it's about the journey.... And thanks to Tracy for that quote....

Enlightenment kind does not matter in the long run. Besides, your playing this game for hours not points.

If you think about, you get to champ point goal faster if you keep playing than if you stop after just a few points

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Sometime yes, sometime no. I have many times played many hours with no enlightenment. I would pay $10 to fill it up I will admit.

No, why would one stop because they are not getting a buff? If it matters that you get more then normal CXP, use scrolls

It is rare I notice I am enlightened and I don't ever remember being aware of when it wears off. I don't really pay much attention to messages that pop up on the screen while I'm playing.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

I do what I feel like doing then I log out.

I am at a high enough CP level it won't even get me half a level, not that I really need XP that much at this point, pretty much have every thing I want unlocked from the CP trees, aside from some quality of life stuff in the green tree.

I'm in this game to chill and enjoy. I don't pay attention to my XP/CPs since I reached 50. For the content I do, what I have is more than sufficient. What comes additional is just nice bonus. I even regularly forget to dispatch them! :D

I have not known about enlightenment before this thread. Honestly, I have zero interest into those extra points.

I have more than enough CP and barely care about enlightenment. The most I can be bothered is to pop an XP scroll if I've hit the enlightenment cap after days of not playing.

I just added a second account, to enjoy the "beginner" feeling again.

My main account has 36 characters >CP1500.

On my new account, I even do not use the double XP from the event, or training armor, in order to avoid to level up too fast.
Questing, slowly getting better, enjoying every major skill I earn after a while. Very different feeling to the extreme grind from my main account.

There are people who have this misconception about Enlightenment and what it affects, the answer is only Champion Points. It in no way affects the experience gained by your skills even though you see bigger numbers of experience gains on your pop ups being double that only contributes to Champion Points. The rate of growth on skills would be the same whether you have Enlightenment buff active or not.

I used to ignore Enlightenment; if I quit playing for the day and still had some Enlightenment left, I didn't care.

But lately I've taken more interest in it; in addition to making sure I do my daily crafting writs, daily and weekly endeavors, and any other pertinent goals-- such as earning event tickets and reward coffers-- I make sure I use up all of my Enlightenment. It's usually very easy for me to earn 400K+ XP in under an hour by going to the Imperial City and doing all 6 district dailies, or else by doing the Mages Guild and Fighters Guild dailies plus an Undaunted daily or 2.

However, I don't stop playing for the day just because I've used up all of my Enlightenment.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I've answered 'No', but only because there wasn't a 'kind of' option...

Occasionally, if I'm just farming gear from dailies, my enlightenment tends to run out just as I'm finishing up.

So, in that case, while I stop playing when my enlightenment runs out, I was going to stop playing anyway.

If I'm running new content or want to max out a skill line, however, I'll just keep playing for as long as I have time for.

I stop using my upper level characters, and use the opportunity to play with some alts. Or go decorate a home.
