If you are a new player to get the witch house for gold you need the achievement. To get the achievement you need all of the Hollowjack style pages you would have spend tickets to get the grab bags? I think this needs to be looked at. Either the Hollowjack style pages should drop from plunder skulls again or it should be dropped from the achievement.

I do believe I've been getting Hallowjack pages from the sugar skulls this year. I've put several up for sale in the guild stores. Perhaps it's only the gold skulls, but I haven't been paying that much attention.

A Hollowjack page is given as a reward for each completed witchfest crafting writ handed in.

We have been getting Dremora style pages from the gold skulls.

You get Hollowjack pages as rewards for completing Witches Festival writs.

Best to get em in traders,since most pieces cheaper than mats and/or buying writs to do,and alots faster than waiting for writ drops.

Thanks I did get a few from the writs but gave up and bought the rest from the guild traders. Since there is at least a way to get them they were not overly priced.

I've opened a good 300+ purple skulls and defo didn't drop any HJ motifs.
I did however get plenty of them from the gold skulls you get from each Witch writ.

When you turn in a witches writ you get a container that has a hollowjack motif. It's not smart look, so even if the character knows shields and nothing else, you can still get shields. But they aren't bound so they can be traded and sold.

Having farmed gold skulls quite a bit with multiple accounts, my guess is that the witches writs drop about 40% - 50% of the time. I haven't gotten one from a purple skull. If they do drop there, it's a super low rate.

Perhaps not a popular opinion, but all these convoluted requirements are a dead stop for me. I don't even bother with these "events" anymore (though the Halloween theme is cool in general).

Do the Witches festival writs. Every one of them gives a container that has a hollowjack motif inside

I hear you, but this event has been going on for several years now. The devs are trying to keep things interesting for veteran players, while also not excluding new players from completing older achievements.

Like, the only thing I don't have are the fragments from this year. I've done all the writs, have Hollowjack completed on several characters, and Dremora as well. There are two new things for me this year, the fragments and the crow quest.

So many Hollowjack pages dropped in previous events and made them worthless that I think they changed it so they only come from Witches Writs this time to limit them. You got to the point where you couldn’t even give them away.

Maybe they swung the pendulum too far the other way but there are probably still tons of pages in traders from last year that are dirt cheap.
