Redoing the whole core so Cyrodiil works is a monumental task.
But you have, at any given time, maybe a dozen very simple bugs bouncing around in any "patch" that are way more obvious and blatant than the basic core challenges in the code. And these make the game look like it game from a garage in SE Asia not from a huge pro company.

Take care of the simple bugs quick. Thats what "patch" is for, right?
This will at least make the game LOOK pro.

Last big fumble was the buggest merchants on console. Took how many weeks to fix this SUPER SIMPLE thing?
Now there is a console UI bug that affects text-entry [on text chat, and even things like MOTD editing (try hitting the down arrow while editing an MotD)]

Literally these fixes are simple, or you could easily put a simple patch in the code to temporarily bypass the problem.

Please, having a handful of really annoying QoL bugs around makes the game unfun.
I'm surprised to say this, but the basic lag/desync problems in the game are things I have learned to deal with, and I can sympathize with the difficulty in fixing them. But this other stuff is really ghetto-cheap.

I do not think Zenimax needs to ignore the bigger issues to do some work on bugs. I also think ESO, in every aspect of the game, is very far from being a garbage MMORPG as is being suggested. I would expect most of us would not be playing it if it was the case.

Dark Convergence is video game cancer. It destroys all balance and mechanics as it is a god mode set compared to everything else.

The facts of the matter belie your assertion.

Dark Convergence is a free ulti with a pull and strong dps. It doesn't have to be aimed and it doesn't require any resources. There is nothing what so ever that is good about Dark Convergence. The set is only good for people looking to troll other players and those that haven't figured out how to play yet.

it is excellent in both modes, in pvp for zerg breaking and in pve for quickly and efficiently removing trash mobs.

Dark Convergence is game breaking. The set completely eliminates any skill gap among players. It's a god mode set. It does more damage than an ulti, pulls from over 30 meters, PULLS TWICE, not just once, doesn't cost any resources and doesn't have to be aimed. In PvP it's used only by trolls and ball groups. It DOES NOT work to bust up ball groups. It will work on unprepared sieges on a ram, but it does nothing to a ball group running immovable with nearly 100% up time.

It’s completely broken in pvp, the organized groups are using it to nuke solo players… a solo player using it on a group does nothing.

before this post becomes a nerf sorcDC discussion I'd like to point out Cyrodiil hasn't seen any love in years. If you want the game to look "pro" wouldn't you make sure major parts of the game work?

The problem with patching consoles is that each patch needs to be verified first and verification means ZOS needs to pay Sony/MS something. That is also the reason why PC is getting all the updates before they go onto console as this gives ZOS some further weeks of testing and fixing before actually applying those changes onto console.

While I agree that bugs should be fixed in a timely manner and I'd even be willing to accept passing on a further content patch for a patch that fixes as many bugs as possible, the problem is that the mass of casual gamers don't experience those issues probably as we regular gamers do and they finally want new content.

Is this really true? I was under the impression that usually console patches are identical to their PC counterparts, i.e. all the bugs that are in a new version also go live on consoles. I thought it was a rare exception that any changes are made between the two releases.
