Booted from game, can't log back in

I'm a player in Xbox NA. About 3:15pm mountain time today I was playing and was booted from the server. I've been trying to log back in ever since with different responses from the server.
1. I get a time quoted, saying I'm in a queue to log in. About 30 seconds passes, after which it changes to say that either there was an internal error or that my connection to the server timed out.
2. Right off the bat: An unexpected internal error has occurred. Please contact customer service...
3. Right off the bat: Your connection to the server has timed out.
You start an event but your servers aren't up to the task. Kicking out people who are already playing and refusing to allow anyone else to connect. Bad form, ZOS.
