Finally saw the end of this, wont spoil it, but I have to say, as someone who is currently 63 and has gone out of his way over the years to do crazy stuff, I approve of the ending.
I get criticized a lot for advising people to just go out there, climb a mountain, climb UNDER a mountain, see a volcano and climb around it, go places you would otherwise never see and have fun with it, THAT'S when you're really alive. I was talking with a friend the other night about how my memory is fading, but I still remember all the crazy things I and my friends and wife did, the boring stuff where we just sat around, I can barely remember that it even took place. You need to do those crazy things, you need to actually live your life, those are the memories that will be with you in the end.
As a cautionary note I should however add, as a friend of mine loves to say, "play stupid games, win stupid prizes"
Have fun out there
