In the Future #8: Ability Skins

if you are going to make a content update focusing on Werewolves, Lycanthropy, and Vampires - then either update the old Werewolf model or sell Werewolf skins OR both.

The current Werewolf model is outdated and looks like it is made out of plastic
I am sure that people would willingly pay for unique skins for Werewolf / Blood Scion transformations

(I’m sure the there can be Lore reasons for a Blood Scion / Vampire Lord to have a Cat or Reptilian appearance.)

Part 2
————————
If you are going to make a class that has summonable combat pets - then allow player to change the appearance of those pets. The technology is clearly available as we see with the Warden Grey Bear Pet Skin.

Not every person wants a Bear…some would like pets that better fit their character. Other players might also like their summonable skeletons to be only of a certain race.

Also the sorcerer pets have very outdated textures.

If the developers did this I guarantee that people would pay for that content - it’s practically printing money

Yes, I am not a fan of bears and they don’t fit with the Morrowind theme of the rest of the abilities! A kagouti or some arthropod creature would be much more fitting but I think people should also have options including a senche and wolf as additional choices as well.

I have been figuratively dying to have Sorceror pet skins in game as a sorc main. ZOS also knows I am quick to spend crowns when presented with anything shiny, Ability skins are minimal effort and I would bet they would see a lot of purchases.

Ability skins can be expanded beyond just pets as well, you can use them for different aesthetics on a variety of abilities.

I think different colors would be nice, but the basic models should stay the same. So you know instantly what some skill is in pvp.

Well that’s an easy solve - Pet/Morph skins don’t apply in PvP

I don't know they'd manage that in dueling.

Entered PvP Match: Skins turned off

Match over; either automatically re-apply skins or player manually re-applies them.

A minor inconvenience when you have been opened up to a plethora of customization options.

I doubt from a technical standpoint it's that easy because how they ban things in pvp right now is make those things not work in a particular instance. For example, there's a blanket ban on assistants in Cyrodiil. It doesn't matter if you're even in area that you cannot be attacked. It's a blanket ban for the zone.

Then it’s ZOS job to figure it out.

Players aren’t developers - it’s not our jobs to find solutions for the developers.
We provide feedback on our experience with the product and the developers find a way to solve it.

Sometimes that means updating the engine (which they’ve said they have done in order to make a lot of different dlc content possible)

    ——————————————————
    Feedback

    Problem:
    - Morph Skins are outdated/limited
    - Players are restricted to a very specific pet flavor that necessarily doesn’t fit their character.

ZOS please do something about that

    End Feedback
    ——————————————————

Maybe Player pet skins won’t matter in PvP, seeing as how another popular MMO has different combat pets for players.

I love these ideas but please make them attainable in game via a long quest or something, not just a crown store purchase. Having both an in-game and a crown store purchase option would be ideal.

Personally, I wouldn’t want any ability skins if they didn’t always apply. If what abilities have such options and what they are is limited by that, so be it. But the wardens animal companion ultimate for instance, why should it matter what animal it is? Or, even better, make it matter and give the animals different abilities! I suppose they won’t because everything has to be same-same-same, but I don’t even main a warden and I’d be all for this. It would definitely make me more interested in the class!

With the warden Bear skin coming to the crown store (that one you got form pre-ordering Morrowind) can see it as a opening the door for more to be added.

It is now under are collectables for some time now. So deffo can see more being added in the future.

    -Pet skins
    -Werewolf skins
-Maybe even abblity skins.....blue fire DK would be epic.
