Does Explorer XP work in Cyrodiil?

I’m wondering if my rank will advance twice as fast during the Explorer Celebration. Anyone know?

There is a different system in Cyrodiil. The currency and ranks is from Alliance Points, aka AP. The event description says nothing about PvP. So I'm afraid not.

"- Double drops from harvest nodes (Fishing excluded)
- Double XP gains from every source (100% experience boost)
- This stacks with other XP boosts such as scrolls or group multipliers
- Double gold earned from monster kills, quest rewards, and similar sources."

Colovian war tortes increases the AP gain for your alliance rank.

It works with double AP from PVP events.

This event give double XP and gold from quests but don't boost AP gain.
Note you will get double XP and gold doing quests in Cyrodil or IC

pvp rank is based off AP, not XP

I only get the COLOVIAN boost if my character is a low level. It doesn’t give me double ap though. Maybe I should submit a ticket. Your answers are very helpful- thank you!

Colovian works off AP gains. AP gains are not XP.

It does not provide double ap, I just makes the ap you gain count more towards pvp rank

So there’s some magic at work 😂 If rank is given through ap but it doesn’t give ap boost it sounds like xp…. But it isn’t xp because it’s not included in Explorer Celebration.

They need a name for this unspoken form of advancement.

Pretty sure it is double XP. It was double in every other instance of the event. I think they just changed the wording overall to increased because the node drops are the ones that are not double. And I doubt they are going to code a random XP gain for this one occurrence of the event.
