Suggestion for Next Years Events...

NO EVENTS AT ALL

For some reason (must be some very inefficient way of coding) every time there is an event the game literally sucks. (I am talking about unbearable lag, freezes, and dropped frames).

So, my favorite idea for the events for 2022 - NO EVENTS!

As many people mentioned there are events already planned for next year.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
    ESO plus status: Cancelled
    ESO currently uninstalled.

New Life's Festival was my first ever event in this game it was so much fun! 😊 Sadly it's all the same every year... I mean it would be cool if characters discussed current world events going on at the same time, for example Impressario may say "Do you know that this goods were brought me by the Undaunted after they have defended Blackwood from daedric envasion? No? You should check it, because we have discounts (tickets) for veterans!" ;)

Not realistic but for sure they should do something about abhorrent performance during literally any event. Cyrodiil is always on load but making whole game Cyro isn't a good marketing tbh.

I am guessing they have some sort of "event filter" that they are funelling way too much code through. However they are currently handling events seems to be very easy on the coding and very tough on the machines running the code. They should stop doing events until they recode how the machines process them.

Events are great for obtaining a ton of things - mats, motifs, exp, tickets. I do love the concept of events. I always dress for an event and choose a suitable mount, and even emotes to entertain other players...

Yet this year I fell there are way too many events. I'm tired. I don't want to do more!

Yet I'll have to. But wait: a game is not my job... it is meant to bring joy and relaxation, not "I'm must" feeling. @ZOS, please, stop throwing events one after another. It is not fun at all.

    What platform are you on?

There is a good chance your hardware is going if you’re experiencing such consistent issues.

I often skip the special events but I bought Blackwood to take part in this one. It was totally worthwhile and exploring the new chapter has been the most fun I've had in ages. I did have a few lag issues at one point, but I just played through them.

I thought this year hadn't been too bad for events. But then I went through both years of indrik collecting, 4 events a quarter really was too much!

Lol, you know how many times I was answering questions in zone about earning tickets, progressing the event, etc. even with everything explained?! :joy::joy::joy:

I think events need a rework.

The current model for events is 'Black Friday' style promotions:

    - Take a quest
    - Talk to an NPC
    - Go farm X things or craft X things or fight X things with many players
    - Go back to the NPC
    - Struggle without ESO+ because it's raining various items
    - Delete uninteresting objects (repeat everyday)

I think something epic needs to be thought of and implemented. Events aren't only for statistics concerning player participation and server population. The current model has it's disadvantages regarding re-playability/engagement and tends to follow the same underlying rules of all the other quests/daily quests that you can already do in the game.

An event could be a world altering threat with a more advanced story line mixed with less but more interesting items for our accounts. I'd prefer to see that with a percentage tool bar rather than a promotion to sell a DLC that didn't go down so well.

You could also close a chapter with an event which could give more closure to that content and also a draft-back effect on the whole community, even those who perhaps didn't engage in the original content.

If you like my idea, give me a thumbs up :)

If jesters fest (for example) didnt have the same exact story and quest eVeRy sInGlE year, it would be as fun every year as it was the first year (or close).

As it stands now, festivals are just annoying because

    1) they overpopulate certain zones and instances
    2) they bait players into grind mode
    3) there must be a "3"

My favorite festival for 2022 would definitely be "New Server for Cyrodiil" festival. Or something like that.

If I don't want to participate in events (and this is quite often), I stay out of the zone(s). I don't deal with the crowds and the event is held. Works well for me.

There are a great number of events and they are too quick and somewhat repetitive. I'd suggest holding them down to one per quarter and they don't have to be the same ones each year. If the JesterFest, for example, only averaged working its way into the rotation once every two or three year, that would help solve the repetitiveness problem without changing the event.

And for Kynareth's sake, put the darns event schedule out well in advance (several weeks minimum) and do so here on the official ZoS forum (not on ReditMyTwiggerSpacePage). There are folks who like to plan guild events or even try to coordinate irl events with game events and some advance notice really helps. And it only seems reasonable that if I want info on ESO that the ESO official site should be the first and most reliable place to look.

I like events. I don't always "participate" - for instance, I never mess with the pvp ones or undaunted ones - but mostly outside of those I really enjoy them. I'm looking forward to the double XP ones in the next few months - I have a couple of high-40s I want to get to 50....

I like the events, but generally by the end I’m ready for a break. With multiple event dailies on multiple toons and the Endeavors, I don’t get around to farming any of my usual stuff. I have deconned so much Blackreach gear and sold so many “treasures” and not got much good stuff so I’m burning out.

More double AP events would be welcome, though. I’m near the end of that grind but it is now taking a long time to get 80 million AP per rank or whatever.

We are doing TTT prog atm. When the event started, vHoF became a lag nightmare. It wasnt as bad after a few days. Maybe it was a coincidence. I mention it becauese vHoF is no where near the event zone.
