The Durzogs are not a priority target. The barrels keep them occupied so a small number of players can focus on the boss and Ogre adds. The bug where the durzog's HAD to die was patched months ago.
TLDR: Kill the boss not the durzogs. If you're focusing the durzogs while they are feeding, and 1 other player essentially solo's this world boss, you're not helping.
P.S. For Bloodrun Cave, when Tumma-Maxath's health bar is GOLD, kill the skeleton adds.

Actually, it's worse! The BOSS resets, but the fight does not! So all those barrels you used for the durzog's don't respawn. If you need to kite the boss, stay near his throne.Edited by CaffeinatedMayhem on October 2, 2021 11:00PM3 -

Yep. It's easiest to see when the boss resets at low health. For me it's happened with 4/6 barrels used, and I had to wipe to reset the fight. When I was figuring out how to solo Toad Tongue on my nightblade.1
