Therianthrop Chapter

With Greymore we got a chapter updating the Vampire and expanding the lore. Do you think of future chapter could expand the lore and upgrade the Therianthrop?

It would be wonderful if we had a Blood Moon chapter that evolved hircine and the hunt. It could expand the lore of the Therianthrop and Hircine tremendously. Not only that it would be the perfect time to release the missing therianthrops in the game. Werebears, Wereboars, Werebats, Werecrocs, Werevultures, Werelions, and the elusive wereshark.

It would give us a new enemy type in the game and expand the different Therianthrops in Nirn. Not to mention would give the player base a much needed variety in therianthrop forms they can take.

It is just a idea. Comment below and let me know what you think.

I think that it would be a great idea, providing us with a plethora of new options and I would personally pick some of those options ASAP. However, due to how inherently difficult would be to balance all of those forms, I'm inclined to think that it's unlikely for us to see all of them. Instead, I think they would add the better knwon ones (aka bears & lions, maybe crocs and possibly boars)

Sounds like a great idea and something I would definitely enjoy.

Sorry, wouldn't appeal to me personally.

Firstly, Werebats are not children of Hircine. Not a thing. I do agree that there should be more Werebeasts added to ESO. I imagine something along the lines of Werebears and Wereboars having passives and skills geared towards tanks and Werelions having potent stealth skills.

There are Werebats in ESO. They are in Greenshade.

Those are named "Giant Bat". They're not weres.

They are at shademist moors in Greenshade. They have Werebat above their name. There are cards for them in elder scrolls legends and even a wiki page dedicated to them.

Werebats are a variety of giant bat found in Shademist Moors and Shademist Enclave. Despite seemingly being lycanthropes, they are unaffected by Fighters Guild Skilled Tracker skill. Like generic giant bats, they have a chance to drop a Magnificent Bat Pelt.

Don't forget that fighter's guild skills do not affect ANY NPCs anymore. They only deal bonus damage to undead/werewolf players now. So... there goes that argument ;)

Werewolves were already given a spotlight in greymoor, though vampires were more of a focus. Marsh of Sacrifices already features both Hircine’s Bloodmoon and the Great Hunt, but within the confines of his realm. I am glad that you didn’t ask for solstheim, as that would have been a rehash of Morrowind’s expansion.

The same time they removed prismatic damage glyphs. Turns out that passive does 20 checks every time you deal damage no matter who you are attacking with what and that is a lot, so now it only does a couple and only in PvP.

Huh. Well, I had no idea. I only have a couple of characters out of 60 that I even have it on.... and since neither of those is a main, I just don't play them as much as I do my mains.

*shrug* Oh well.... there's so much going on all the time with changes, I just don't keep track. Thanks for the info!

Shapeshifters they may be but that alone does not link them to Hircine. Lore has been consistent over the years that there are seven species of Manbeast aka Werebeasts. Werebats have never been among the roster. Could there be more? Sure, but as of now there are no official additions beyond the seven.

I never said werebats were linked to Hircine, but I will state that if it is a strain of lycanthropy, they would be by default. I will agree that shapeshifting isn't just linked to Hircine, but it is one of his main staples, and the fact that they have the term "were" in front of their names might lead people in-universe to link them to the Father of Manbeasts.
