Idea: give ESO+ subscribers more armory and outfit slots

To increase the value of the ESO+ subscription (which is a bit devalued now that the Deadlands DLC will be free anyway if the current event goes well), why not give ESO+ subscribers two additional armory slots per character and one additional outfit slot?

Not sure they're interested in increasing the value of it, that's just a promo campaign to increase Blackwood sales and make some people stay/at least consider to stay for awhile.

I dont see ESO+ value decreasing because of one dlc given for free, but adding more things to it would make it more
    attracktive to sub for sure.
But then again...You would get the ''eso is p2w'' crowd shouting out loud...So not sure if they would consider adding extra armory slots.

Since the slot's will be unlocked through purchase via crown store only anyway it's not a point against giving eso+ members an extra slot .

Do not accept/activate dlc gift if you want to increase value of your subscription...

I've been ESO+ since the beginning and I'm ok with this. Anything that might bring more players to the game, is a good thing in my book.

I don't buy outfit slots because they're account bound, so if I got one or two for keeping my sub that'll be amazing! Armor system... Idk. Only really use it to prepare for tanking or swap out vampirism for RP reasons so to look mortal.

I could get behind one additional armory slot. Two is asking too much and would likely cover plenty of people not needing any more. Where does you outfit slot addition come from? Seems random.

    /eyeroll

Was ESO+ "devalued" when the Murkmire DLC was given as a login prize? (what's that? It's not free always & for everyone? Just people who claimed it at the time? Same as how anyone who doesn't have Blackwood right now, or isnt' playing, won't get Deadlands?)

You know, the people who could really have complained about Murkmire were the people who'd bought it on release just a month earlier. And you know what? There wasn't remotely the "OMG, WHY?!!?!?" that we get nowadays whenever someone decides that ESO+ folks are being hurt by zos.

1600 crowns, access to all the DLC, and the craft bag is lots. ESO+ doesn't need more 'value' to be attractive.

thoughts on "devalued" - would you have stopped ESO+ if there wasn't a new zone DLC? Or if it wasn't included (like if they came up with yet another category of addons, ala "chapter")?
No? Then it's not really devalued, is it?

And outfit slots are 1500cr per character (yep, absurdly overpriced). One outfit slot for every character you make is vastly more 'valuable' than a single DLC.
(additionally, if it works like craft bag/house furniture/bank, you'd still have the use of those outfit & armory slots after you dropped ESO+, unlike DLC. So yeah - "to make up for that $20 prize we missed, give us $50 prizes!")

I'm a sub, and I don't feel that ESO+ Has been devalued in any way, because the Deadlands DLC will not be free forever. During this limited time event, I get to have a free copy of Deadlands added to my account as a participation reward, meaning that if I should ever have a time when I cant sub, I still have access to the Deadlands. Future ESO+ members and those who don't log on to receive the reward will not get this. I consider it an ADDITION to what I am already paying for, rather than a subtraction from it. As a bonus, I get that "I was there and got this cool thing" feel, as a memory of the event.

Would giving more slots for ESO+ become a pain in the behind section on down the road as a persons subscription ran out? I'm guessing they didn't put in a way to remove the slots once you have them.

I would prefer a bigger discount on items, like seriously 200 crowns off an item is surely not going to sway me to buy it. everything in the Crown Store is way over priced.
Also would like to see a discount on all items for eso+ members, not just the few tired items they trying to push out, let's face it if we weren't held hostage with the craftbag, not many would even bother with subbing, so they should pamper those who do, AKA loyalty.

I came to this idea of the additional outfit slot as it would be great to have a different outfit for the different roles that you can unlock through the armory. And the armory will also save the outfit a character uses.

E.g. I have a Nightblade that I want to use as a dps-er but also as a thieve/assassin. And it's my main crafter too. I would love to see a different outfit on each role.

I don't care about the armory slots but I sure would like to see outfit slots be account wide. Buying an outfit slot that applies to all characters makes buying them worth looking at. As long as they are character only, they are a silly non-value. My sentiment here has been echoed on the forum so many times, I have to believe that raising the price of an outfit slot somewhat and making it account wide would increase sales.

I had ESO+ for a couple of years but found it was ultimately poor value. Once I had used the monthly crowns to buy all the dlcs and my crafter was fully levelled I found too little value in the craft bag and exp bonus alone for the monthly fee.

This is compounded further by the introduction of endeavours, which gives gamers an additional path to cosmetic crown store items through grinding.

Might be better to take away the crowns and as op said provide a free outfit slot. But also every month give account holders 1* race change, name change and alliance change tokens. At least these are functional.

FFXIV has a much better sytem for changing builds/jobs and armor, etc., and it's free and easy for all characters. I'm not so sure why so many people are essentially arguing that it would be TOO generous of Zenimax to give us more than 2 or 3 slots per character for free. Gee, I wonder how Square Enix manages to keep their game afloat without charging money for it. And if you want to argue that it's an added enticement to bring new players into the game, allow a dozen slots per character for free - that's more likely to bring in more players than the current implementation. If I was thinking of moving from a game like FFXIV to ESO, I would look at the ESO system and say, "Wait, I have to pay for that?"

I'll keep the crowns thanks, some people might not value them but I definitely do.

I keep ESO+ to support the game. A bargain entertainment wise really if you play at least four hours a month. You can't see two movies for the price. I always thought they should have stayed subscription based.

Honestly, if the adoption of ESO Plus was soft among the players, we would see stuff like this. The fact that we do not suggests that ESO Plus is doing well among ESO players. Thus... no reason to do it.

The free Deadlands DLC gift only devalues ESO Plus if the mindset is "haves vs have nots". This pins the value of ESO Plus on the fact that everyone else has to pay extra for it. ESO Plus members were always going to get Deadlands for no additional charge, and they still get Deadlands DLC for no additional charge.

You know you get the crowns value back in the sub price. In addition you get the bag, more XP, more gold, etc...

I've played other games and paid for memberships where you got less and may have paid more.
