Tips for getting to Skyshards in Cyrodil?

Level up a Khajiti bow ganker stamblade and gear him up with sneaky sets and equip rogue escape draught potions. Don't engage with anyone, just try to avoid fighting, and sneak around all over the map. You may have to be patient to get the shards that are inside the enemy scroll area. It also helps to have another partner with a similar build working with you to collect them in case one of you dies you can res them. If you have a partner, stay far enough apart that if one of you is found, you can stay out of the fight and sneak back and res them.

Abandon your current faction and pledge full allegiance to the other two, get the skyshards, serve as a spy for all three, and slowly kill them all until you are the true Emperor of Cyrodiil.

Or just go on one of those campaigns that is very unpopulated. Idk I don't do Cyrodiil. Only in Oblivion.

As the title indicates, does anyone have advice for how to access those hard-to-reach skyshards in Cyrodll? I'm thinking of the ones deep behind enemy lines, usually near the Elder Scroll temples. I don't play much PVP, and trying to reach these areas without being insta-killed is a challenge, to say the least. Is my only option to wait until my faction has taken over the entire map? We've come close before (EP), but I've never seen every area conquered/accessible.

At this point, I've collected every shard in the game except for 4 in Cyrodil.

I needed only two behind enemy lines when I decided I might as well join in to help make it happen instead of passively waiting for it to be open. Since then, I have done very little pve and a ton of pvp. Give it a shot and get in there. You may actually like it (never thought I would).

If you are going for achievements, do Vampire. You will need it anyway.

At the last days of campaing observe a map of Cyro. If you see that your or other alliance is taking the keep guarding the gate, login (or better stay logged, cause this could take a while :p ) and run for it.

Last part on foot, to avoid detection.

For others just use Crown Store :D

If you want to spend some crowns:

Cyrodiil skyshards are divided into three groups. Aldemeri, daggerfall and ebonheart.

Get on an aldemeri toon and get those, and do the same on the appropriate alts from the other factions.

Then you can just purchase the sky shards from the store.

Get your mount up to the highest speed. Sneak in to the place RUN STRAIGHT TO THE SKYSHARD!

I don't know how it is now but back in the day, people who saw others running to the skyshard. Usually let them get it before wiping them clean.

Or follow a HUGE ZERG IN while they go for the scrolls, you should easily be able to go for the skyshards.

If you don't mind throwing money at it, you can use an alt of each alliance to get their own skyshards to unlock the packs in the store, then buy them on the character you want the achievement on. You'd need to get all 15 on each but it's not normally too bad if you don't have to worry about any behind gates.

The other option is alliance changes but that's alot more expensive!

I was lucky enough to be playing when there were still a load of campaigns, and there was almost always one taken over by your alliance. Did it again a while ago on an alt and it's much harder now, takes a lot of patience
