For a long time, we've had just a couple eye cosmetics for characters, three for blind eyes (blind right, blind left, prophet eyes).
They've always taken up slots as "Facial Hair" for some reason, meaning you couldn't have a beard and have a blind eye, which has always been weird to me and inconvenient to a lot of people I know who want to make characters with both.
Now we have the Spiderkith Eyes and the Conjurer's Eyes, which I was excited for.
I
thought they were going to be under Facial Hair like we usually get, so I was excited to be getting the Conjurer's Eyes in today's crates for one of my toons.
There's just one problem. Conjurer's Eyes count as a
Head Marking. For some, I'm sure this is a complete non-issue, but for others (like me) who've worked certain head markings in as part of our characters' key design points, there's no way I can use them.
The choice to make Eyes take up Facial Hair slots was always weird to begin with, but now its also taking up valuable real estate from Facial Markings which are important to some peoples' character designs.
I think its about time Eye cosmetics get their own slot. They have nothing to do with facial hair, or with face tattoos, so the fact they have to compete with them is pretty lame imo.
I would have gotten the Conjurer's Eyes from the crates today, but not at the cost of my characters' face tattoos, so unless there's at least some
plan to change it, its a hard pass from me.
